A series of explosions shook the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, at dawn Sunday. Al Mayadeen’s correspondent reported that the strikes targeted the Haziz power station south of Sanaa, which is considered one of the vital electricity facilities supplying the capital.
A source in the Yemeni Civil Defense confirmed that the aggression struck the station’s generators, taking them out of service and causing a major power disruption in the area.
Israeli media later reported that the Israeli Navy was behind the attack on the power station.
Amid the attack, Hazem al-Assad, a member of Ansar Allah’s Political Bureau, said that “the bankrupt enemy targets nothing but service facilities,” stressing that the aggression continues to strike Yemen’s vital infrastructure deliberately.

The attack comes as Yemen continues carrying out military operations in defense of Gaza and targeting ships linked to "Israel" in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea. The Yemeni Armed Forces have repeatedly affirmed that these operations will continue until the Israeli aggression on Gaza stops and the siege is lifted.
"Israel", the US, and the UK have launched attacks on Yemen targeting civilian infrastructure and resulting in civilian deaths, including women and children.
