The leader of Ansar Allah, Sayyed Abdul Malik al-Houthi, on Thursday condemned remarks by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the “Greater Israel” project, calling them “an affront to the Arab World and a direct attack against it.”
Sayyed al-Houthi warned of the dangers of pursuing this project in the face of what he described as “a fragmented and submissive Arab nation,” noting that some Arab states maintain economic cooperation with the Israeli occupation while others adhere to a policy of boycott.
Yemeni military operations against Israeli targets
He announced that Yemeni Armed Forces carried out multiple operations this week targeting Israeli positions in Yafa, Haifa, Askalan, Beer al-Sabe, and Umm al-Rashrash, in addition to striking a vessel violating the blockade in the far north of the Red Sea.
Sayyed al-Houthi affirmed that these military and naval support operations will continue, describing them as impactful actions in response to Israeli aggression and in support of the Palestinian cause.
According to Sayyed al-Houthi, Israeli aggression over the past week, in partnership with the United States, has resulted in more than 3,500 Palestinian casualties, including children, women, and displaced persons.
He accused the Israeli occupation of forcibly displacing Palestinians and directly targeting residents of al-Quds in the occupied West Bank, recording over 61 property demolitions and more than 170 raids, alongside ongoing settlement expansion and the raising of Israeli flags in the courtyards of al-Aqsa Mosque as part of Judaization efforts.
Sayyed al-Houthi said the occupation deliberately targets displaced people in so-called “safe zones” to prevent their stability through repeated displacement.
Crimes against children, journalists
The Ansar Allah leader accused the Israeli occupation of deliberately killing large numbers of children and targeting journalists to prevent the truth from reaching the world, noting that six journalists were killed in their tent this week.
He described these crimes as reflecting “an entrenched criminal mindset among Israeli leaders and within their culture,” adding that targeting children, displaced persons, and withholding food aid amounts to “American-Israeli death traps.”
Sayyed al-Houthi called for reinforcing the sanctity of al-Aqsa Mosque in the collective consciousness of the Muslim nation, warning that abandoning holy sites threatens the identity and principles of the Ummah.
Criticism of Arab governments
He criticized certain Arab governments for submitting to US and Israeli dictates, describing such policies as dangerous to their peoples. He specifically condemned the Lebanese government’s adoption of the US proposal, calling it “a betrayal and a relinquishment of sovereignty.”
Sayyed al-Houthi stressed that efforts to strip nations of their weapons serve the Zionist project and warned against falling into this trap, labeling it “an unacceptable catastrophe.”
He also noted the continuation of Israeli aggression in Syria despite armed groups in the south complying with demands to remove all military presence. He said the Israeli occupation has carried out military patrols, set up roadblocks, and conducted searches and raids on local residents and their homes.
