Gaza Resistance targets Israeli troops, assets; casualties confirmed

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced on Friday that its fighters fatally shot an Israeli occupation soldier with machine gun fire after he exited a Merkava tank.
The operation took place in the vicinity of Badr Mosque, south of the al-Zaytoun neighborhood in southern Gaza City, on August 18, 2025.
The group also reported that an evacuation helicopter landed at the scene of the operation following the fatal shooting.
Al-Quds Brigades bombard Israeli military site
The Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, said it shelled Israeli military machinery using standard 60mm mortar rounds.
The target was located near the al-Muhandis Hall in the Al-Satar Al-Gharbi area in northern Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, Al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades launch joint attack
The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, in coordination with the Al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades, the military arm of the Popular Resistance Committees, confirmed that they shelled a gathering of occupation forces and military vehicles on Al-Villat Street, north of Khan Younis.
The operation was carried out using 60mm mortar rounds.
Mujahideen Brigades down Israeli drone
The Mujahideen Brigades, the armed wing of the Mujahideen Movement, reported that its fighters had downed an Israeli drone conducting reconnaissance missions south of the al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City.
Palestinian Resistance factions continue to carry out operations against Israeli forces, despite nearly 23 months of continuous bombardment, siege, and starvation imposed on the Gaza Strip.
