Hamas strongly condemned the Israeli occupation’s bombing of al-Farabi School in Gaza, describing it as a blatant challenge to international will and repeated calls to halt the war.
In a statement, the movement said that the “unjustified paralysis” of the international community and United Nations institutions is granting occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a free hand to continue what it called “massacres and genocide.”
Hamas renewed its call on the United Nations, as well as Arab and Islamic countries, to take effective action to protect the Palestinian people from the danger of extermination and forced displacement.
Earlier, warplanes of the Israeli occupation targeted al-Farabi School, which was sheltering displaced families near al-Yarmouk stadium in Gaza City. The attack killed eight Palestinians and left several others wounded.
Over a dozen killed in airstrikes
According to Gaza hospitals, the Israeli occupation’s assaults on the Strip have claimed 13 lives since the early hours of the morning.
Occupation warplanes bombed al-Farabi School, which was sheltering displaced families near al-Yarmouk Stadium in Gaza City, killing 8 civilians and injuring several others.
Israeli warplanes also struck a displaced persons’ tent near the Legislative Council in al-Rimal neighborhood of Gaza City, killing two children and wounding several others.
Additionally, the occupation’s army detonated a booby-trapped robot in the vicinity of Sheikh Radwan pool, simultaneously with Israeli artillery shelling in the same area and gunfire from military vehicles.
