Jibril Rajoub, the secretary-general of Fatah’s Central Committee, labeled Operation al-Aqsa Flood  as an action "within the context of the defensive war our people are waging."

During a speech in Kuwait, Rajoub attributes the cause of October 7 to "Israel's aggression on all Palestinian lands." He contends that the Hamas operation thwarted the Israeli goal of integrating "Israel" into the region without resolving the Palestinian issue, citing the normalization deals and ongoing normalization talks with other Middle Eastern countries, including Saudi Arabia.

"Hamas is part of our political and social fabric and of our struggle, and their involvement is important," Rajoub underlined.

On a similar note, the Palestinian Presidency announced, on November 18, that it renewed its demands for the US to fulfill its responsibilities and intervene to halt "Israel's" genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and occupied West Bank.

Expressing astonishment at the continued obstruction by the US administration of international efforts to halt Israeli aggression, the Palestinian presidency warned that such a war would be of no benefit to any parties involved.

"Despite the ongoing daily bloody aggression in Gaza and the West Bank, accompanied by the evacuation and destruction of Gaza’s hospitals, we are astonished that the American administration is still obstructing international efforts to stop the Israeli aggression," said the official spokesperson for the Palestinian Presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeineh.

"We renew our demand for the American administration to assume its responsibilities and stop the genocide against the Palestinian people, which claimed the lives of thousands of martyrs and wounded, and to stop the massacres and war crimes that the Israeli occupation insists on committing in full view of the world in gross violation of international law and international humanitarian law," he said.

Abu Rudeineh emphasized that "Israel" and the US administration have no alternative but to cease the aggression and put an end to the occupation. He stated that the intense campaign across all Palestinian territories, with the objective of sowing chaos and pulling the region into perpetual conflicts, will have destructive consequences for everyone involved, with no one emerging unscathed.

"Once again we warn that this aggression will not bring peace and security to anyone, but rather will create a situation that will be impossible to contain in the entire region. Military and security solutions have proven their failure, and the only solution is to end the occupation and recognize the right of the Palestinian people to freedom and independence in accordance with international legitimacy and international law," the official added.
