Hamdan: Palestine enters new phase, "Israel" lost ability to threaten
Hamas official, Osama Hamdan, tells Al Mayadeen that it was a matter of time before the Palestinian people proved once again their worth against the occupation.
Hamas movement official, Osama Hamdan, pointed out Thursday that the West Bank's spirit of resistance against the Israeli occupation has matured again, adding that the current events drain the occupation army and are a qualitative shift toward an all-out confrontation that may be bigger than an uprising (Intifada).
Hamdan told Al Mayadeen that the uprising in the Palestinian lands occupied in 1948 did not stop and that the occupation is fighting it with murder and crime.
He highlighted that the number of operations against the Israeli occupation exceeded 1,000 and noted that the occupation has not been subjected to extensive operations in the West Bank for 17 years, stressing that this number is large and catastrophic for the occupation.
The Hamas official considered that occupied Palestine is entering a new phase, which is clear proof that all the plans meant to subjugate the Palestinian people are failing today, pointing out that the symbolism of martyr Uday Al-Tamimi has announced the end of the occupation and confirmed that this generation will not surrender and will continue to resist.
Hamdan indicated that it was a matter of time before the Palestinian people proved once again their worth against the occupation, noting that the situation in the West Bank is escalating.
According to Hamdan, the Israeli occupation has lost the ability to threaten, as killing is no longer a threat to the Palestinians, adding that all illusions about Israeli security superiority and that security cooperation with "Israel" can halt the Palestinian Resistance are gone with the wind with Al-Tamimi's martyrdom.
The Palestinian official also pointed out that among those who carried out operations against the Israeli occupation were members of the Palestinian security services, which shows that there is a general state of resistance rather than a certain category of the Palestinian people resisting the occupation.
He said the Israeli occupation thought at a certain stage that it had surrounded the West Bank, until the battle of Seif Al-Quds took place and exhibited the Palestinian people's unity and resistance, adding that the enemy's bet was that the situation in the West Bank is a short-term reaction, but the heroic operations shattered their illusion.
According to Hamdan, the heroic operations will further fatigue the Israeli occupation, noting that half of the Israeli occupation army is deployed today in the occupied West Bank since the beginning of this year due to these operations.
The Hamas official considered that Palestinians are part of an alliance in the region to confront the Zionist project, pointing out that "if we want to resist the enemy, we must unite the capabilities of the nation."
He also stressed that the escalation of resistance acts will push the Israelis back and that any operation in the West Bank will not lead to stability, but rather to more confrontation, and may pave the way for another confrontation, whether from Gaza, the '48 occupied Palestinian territories, or any part of the region.

Resumption of relations between Damascus and Hamas
In a separate context, Hamdan reiterated that the Palestinian factions delegation meeting with Syrian President Al-Assad was warm and very important, revealing that Khalil Al-Hayya, head of the Hamas Arab and Islamic Relations Office, conveyed to Al-Assad the greetings of the Al-Qassam Brigades Resistance fighters.
The Palestinian official said Hamas has returned to Damascus, which has become a permanent station for the movement, indicating that the restoration of relations between Hamas and Syria will be further crystallized in the coming stage.
