During his meeting with Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, the head of the Hamas Political Bureau, Ismail Haniyeh said that the resistance appreciates the stance and support of the numerous axis of resistance fronts.

Hamas confirmed that Haniyeh, heading a high-ranking delegation of Hamas officials, arrived in the Iranian capital on Tuesday.

According to the statement released by the movement, Haniyeh is scheduled to hold a series of meetings and discussions with the Iranian leadership about the latest political and battlefield developments in the Gaza Strip, as well as other events relating to the Palestinian cause.

Haniyeh particularly expressed that Hamas appreciates "Iran's position on Palestine," stressing that the image of the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) has been "shattered," its true nature has been exposed without embellishment and it now lives in "political isolation."

The head of the Palestinian resistance expressed that the truth about US positions has been exposed through its absolute support for the Israeli occupation and support for its many crimes which include genocide.

He declared that the Israeli occupation would never be able to impose its will on the Palestinian people, neither through war nor through politics.

Haniyeh also pointed out the necessity of the Islamic world to stand by Gaza, appreciating “the stance and support of the axis of resistance confrontation fronts.”

In turn, the Iranian President affirmed that his country was and “will remain alongside the Palestinian people,” expressing his pride in supporting the Palestinian cause.

He remarked that the resistance and the steadfastness of the people in Gaza have made the Palestinian issue a global one that does not stop at the borders of the Islamic world. He stressed that the massacre in Gaza was yet "another major scandal" for the US and the Western nations that support the Zionist entity.

Earlier discussion on March 22

It is worth noting that Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and the head of the Hamas Political Bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, discussed the latest developments in the situation in occupied Palestine and Gaza by phone call on March 22.

At the time, Amir-Abdollahian told Haniyeh that the world had become fully aware that the head of the occupation government, Benjamin Netanyahu, “has reached the end and is making his last moves in order to survive.”

He added during the call that the Israeli occupation entity is "embroiled in the Gaza quagmire," emphasizing that this was achieved thanks to the steadfastness of the people and the Resistance in Gaza.

For his part, Haniyeh stated that the occupation is obstructing the prisoner-captive exchange agreement and the cessation of genocide in Gaza. He emphasized that the humanitarian situation has become dire in the northern Gaza Strip.

Haniyeh called on the international community to immediately assist the residents of Gaza.

The upcoming visit will mark Haniyeh's second visit to Iran since the beginning of the Israeli genocide on Palestinians in Gaza on October 7th.

Haniyeh and AmirAbdollahian met in February last year in the Qatari capital, Doha, as part of a regional consultation visit by the Iranian minister.
