Hezbollah destroys Israeli military vehicle as IOF bomb Lebanon
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon says it destroyed an Israeli military vehicle in "Avivim" amid repeated Israeli shelling of Lebanon's border areas.
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah - announced Tuesday that its fighters targeted an Israeli Zelda armored personnel carrier at al-Sadah site West of the town of Salha, which the Israeli occupation dubbed as "Avivim" upon settling in it.
Salha is one of the Seven Villages, which are seven Lebanese villages occupied by the Israeli occupation and claimed as part of its own after their mandate was handed from the French to the British colonial power.
The people who were originally from these villages were expelled from them, and many of them sought refuge in other areas of South Lebanon after they were given Lebanese citizenship in the early 20th century.
The rockets fired from southern Lebanon were later claimed by the Lebanese Resistance, i.e., Hezbollah, and they caused massive damages among the ranks of the Israeli occupation, where at least two vehicles were reported as having been engulfed in flames, including an armored vehicle and a Merkava tank.
According to the Islamic Resistance, it fired at the Israeli positions in response to the Israeli aggression that struck a Hezbollah observation point in Southern Lebanon, the statement added.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported, citing a source familiar with the matter, that the Israeli occupation was bombing the vicinity of al-Naqoura, ad-Dhayra, and Yaroun in Southern Lebanon, while also launching three incendiary bombs toward the Kfar Chouba Heights and Mari.
Some unconfirmed reports suggest that the Israeli occupation forces were using the internationally prohibited white phosphorus bombs in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli occupation had struck the Resistance's observation point on Monday, which led to the martyrdom of three Hezbollah fighters.
In response, Hezbollah announced yesterday that it targeted two sensitive Israeli occupation military sites in northern occupied Palestine as an initial response to the martyrdom of three Resistance fighters killed in an Israeli aggression on a Lebanese town near the Palestinian border earlier in the day.
In a statement, Hezbollah said it targeted "Biranit" barracks, which is the command center of the Galilee Division, and the "Avivim" military base, the command center for a battalion affiliated with the Western Brigade.
The operation was carried out using guided missiles and mortar shells, confirming direct hits to the military sites.

It was reported earlier today that the Resistance used a guided missile to strike an armored vehicle in the settlement of "Avivim", with reports suggesting that the said vehicle was completely destroyed.
Several salvoes of rockets, numbering at least 15, were launched from Lebanon toward northern occupied Palestine and targeted the Israeli occupation, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported Tuesday.
Sirens were sounded in "Metzuba", "Lehman", "Betzet", "Shlomi", and Western al-Jalil, in addition to a number of other settlements in northern occupied Palestine, Israeli media reported.
Al-Qassam Brigades claimed responsibility for the rockets launched from Lebanon toward Western al-Jalil.
"Being an integral part of our people's battle in Palestine, as well as in Gaza and its great resistance; we have taken a step on the path of liberation and return by launching rockets on the raped territories in the Western al-Jalil from southern Lebanon," Al-Qassam Brigades said in a statement.
"Our acts of resistance will continue until the occupation is uprooted and our peoples' goals of freedom and liberation [...] and our right to return are achieved," the statement added.

Our correspondent also reported that there was extensive bombing targeting the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms area, as well as the Kfar Chouba hills.
The Times of Israel newspaper reported that the Israeli occupation was being hit by both the Lebanese and Palestinian Resistance on various fronts.
Meanwhile, Israeli radio reported that there was a possible infiltration from Lebanon into the settlement of "Shlomi" in Western al-Jalil.
The escalation comes as the Palestinian Resistance extensively shelled the occupied city of Askalan, with hundreds of rockets being launched toward it for nearly three hours straight.
IOF announces two new soldiers dead
The Israeli occupation forces acknowledged that two other Israeli soldiers had been killed on Monday during confrontations with Resistance fighters on the Lebanese-Palestinian borders, bringing the total number of those killed to three.
Palestinian Islamic Jihad fighters had engaged in battles against Israeli occupation forces, resulting in the killing of the deputy commander of Brigade 300, the Western Brigade of the so-called Galilee Formation.
Elim Abdullah, the deputy commander of the 300th Brigade in the 91st Division of the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) has been killed, the IOF announced on Monday.
This comes in the context of an infiltration attack carried out by al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), on the occupied village of "Arab al-Aramshe", which is adjacent to the Lebanese village of al-Dhayra.
On Sunday, the Lebanese Resistance party said in a statement, "On the path of liberating what is left of our occupied Lebanese land and in solidarity with the triumphant Palestinian Resistance and the [persevering] and patient Palestinian people... groups of martyr leader Hajj Imad Mughniyeh, this Sunday morning, corresponding to 8 October 2023, attacked three occupation sites in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms."
The sites were targeted with large barrages of mortar shells as well as guided missiles, and they are: ar-Radar, Zebdine, and Ruwaisat al-Alam.
Israeli media outlets reported that the Northern Front, in reference to the area composed of the occupied Palestinian north and occupied Lebanese territories, has now been opened.
Nearby settlers were ordered to move into fortified areas, while resorts were shut down in the area.
Israeli settlers in the "Metula" settlement heard explosions, as Israeli media outlets confirmed that "there were no injuries in today's shelling from Lebanon to Israel in the Shebaa Farms area."
Lebanese media reported that the Israeli occupation forces shelled areas in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli army radio confirmed that "the artillery units of the Israeli army fired at the Lebanese area from which" mortar shells and rockets were fired toward military sites.
It is worth noting that the "Metulla" Council, once again, recommended today, Tuesday, that the settlers still present in the settlement evacuate and head to the south.
