Hezbollah holds funeral processions for martyred fighters
Lebanese MP Hassan Fadlallah emphasizes that the Israeli enemy will be defeated in Gaza.
Hezbollah held Tuesday the funeral procession of its martyrs Hossam Muhammad Ibrahim and Ali Raif Ftouni in Kherbet Selem and Ali Hassan Hodroj in Hanaway, both towns in southern Lebanon, with massive popular participation. Yesterday, Hezbollah announced that Hossam Muhammad Ibrahim, Ali Raif Ftouni, and Ali Hassan Hodroj, three fighters in the Lebanese Islamic Resistance - Hezbollah - were martyred following a campaign of Israeli shelling on villages in South Lebanon, which lasted for around two hours.
Earlier in the evening, Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Lebanon reported that gunfire and shelling were heard in al-Dhayra in South-West Lebanon near the border with occupied Palestine.
During the procession, Lebanese Parliament Member Hassan Fadlallah said the Israelis were hiding in their posts at the border and inside the occupied Palestinian territories out of fear of the Lebanese Resistance.
Fadlallah confirmed that the Israeli enemy knows that any offensive will not go unanswered or without it paying a dire price, adding that the Israeli enemy will be defeated in Gaza and affirming that the new Middle East project will definitely fall, just as it was defeated in Lebanon in 2006.
The Lebanese MP pointed out that victory shall arise from the ground drenched with the blood of Gaza’s children and martyrs and from the blood of every free and proud person in the world.
Addressing the Resistance fighters in Gaza, Fadlallah said: “Today, you stand as the pride of the Islamic world and the resistance, inspiring action.”
In response to the martyrdom of its fighters yesterday, the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah – announced the targeting of two sensitive Israeli occupation military sites in northern occupied Palestine as an initial response to the martyrdom of three Resistance fighters killed in the Israeli aggression.
In a statement, Hezbollah said it targeted "Biranit" barracks, which is the command center of the Galilee Division, and the "Avivim" military base, the command center for a battalion affiliated with the Western Brigade.
The operation was carried out using guided missiles and mortar shells, confirming direct hits to the military sites.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Lebanon reported Monday that gunfire and shelling were heard in al-Dhayra in South-West Lebanon near the border with occupied Palestine.
Israeli media had also reported that four fighters attempted to infiltrate the settlement of "Arab Al-Aramshe", which is adjacent to the Lebanese village of al-Dhayra.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent later specified that it was a 4-member Palestinian group that attempted to cross over, and two members were martyred during the operation.
Afterward, Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, claimed responsibility for the infiltration into occupied Palestine from Lebanon.
"Al-Quds Brigades claims responsibility for the afternoon operation on the south Lebanon border," the group said in a statement.
Furthermore, our correspondent reported that the Israeli occupation bombed the outskirts of Ayta ash-Shab and adjacent towns, detailing that the Israeli bombing began on the border towns of al-Dhayra and Yarine before moving to the outskirts of Ayta ash-Shab.
The infiltration operation led to the death of the Deputy Commander of the 300th Brigade in the Galilee Division, Lieutenant Colonel Alim Saad, during confrontations on the Lebanese-Palestinian border, in addition to the wounding of 6 Israeli soldiers.
All of this comes as the Israeli occupation expresses its fear of the eruption of confrontations on the northern front, since the beginning of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, which was launched by the Palestinian Resistance last Saturday morning, as Israeli media confirmed that “our situation in the north is worse,” considering that “the border with Lebanon is not like the border in the south (Gaza Strip), and Israel does not want a battle in the north.”
"Israel" fears Hezbollah joining Operation Al-Aqsa Flood from the northern front in support of the Palestinian Resistance factions in Gaza Strip, as it would lead to paramount pressure on the occupation army that is already suffering from weakness and division.
