In his first public appearance since the end of the war, and just five days before the scheduled session for electing the president, Hezbollah's parliamentary bloc leader, MP Mohammad Raad, visited Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri in the latter's Ain al-Tineh residence on Saturday.

Following the meeting, Raad conveyed a message from Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem to Speaker Berri and stated that they had discussed the next steps for the ceasefire monitoring committee and the presidential election.

Raad emphasized that "reform can only be achieved if it is comprehensive and directed toward serving national and public interests, not sectarian agendas."

He added, "Let us harness our capabilities and our Lebanese identity to preserve our country and live together with dignity while safeguarding the rights of all. We remain committed to the path of our martyrs and will not deviate from our principles. We will address all new developments based on these principles."

Furthermore, Raad pointed out that "the Israeli enemy continues to commit disgraceful violations to compensate for its field failures," stressing that "protecting national sovereignty is everyone's duty." He also remarked that "the enemy continues to breach the ceasefire agreement to address its inferiority complex."

Hezbollah MP warns 'Israel' will face wrath if truce violations resume

What the Israeli occupation could not achieve throughout the war, it is trying to get during peacetime, Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc MP Ihab Hamadeh said last Tuesday.

During an interview with Al Mayadeen, Hamadeh reiterated that the Resistance was Lebanon's protector and is what prevented the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) from violating its land. "Anyone who believes that the Resistance in Lebanon has weakened is delusional," he said.

He further affirmed that "On the 61st day after the ceasefire, we will be in a position to make the Israeli enemy taste our wrath," adding that the committee overseeing the ceasefire had not shown any seriousness so far.

Reiterating Hezbollah's strength and capabilities, Hamadeh stated that it has the resources and minds that allow its forces to confront the Israeli occupation.

He additionally spoke about Syria and the latest developments, stressing that they do not impact the Resistance, contrary to what is generally believed.
