The Israeli occupation is escalating its aggression against the West Bank, coinciding with its ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip, which has persisted for 133 days.

On Friday at dawn, Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed several areas and launched massive raid and detention campaigns.

In the southern occupied West Bank, occupation forces, accompanied by military vehicles, raided the Haret al-Sheikh neighborhood in central al-Khalil. They established military checkpoints, surrounded citizens' homes, and conducted raids on several residences. Moreover, in the eastern part of Tulkarm, Israeli occupation forces detained a Palestinian youth from the town of Anabta.

The IOF also conducted a detention campaign in the town of Silat al-Dhahr, south of Jenin. According to local sources, several military vehicles stormed the town from its southern entrance and deployed in various neighborhoods.

Occupation forces conducted raids on over 15 homes, resulting in property damage, and detained dozens of Palestinian youths. Israeli occupation forces also stormed the city of Qalqilya and arrested a Palestinian youth.

It is worth noting that over 7,000 Palestinians have been detained in the West Bank since the commencement of the extensive Israeli aggression against Palestinians 130 days ago.

PFLP calls for battles to move toward the heart of 'Israel'

Earlier this week, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) called for battles to shift to the heart of "Israel" from the West Bank.

The PFLP confirmed the increase in settler attacks on the Palestinian people across the West Bank. These assaults, which include road blockades, land seizures, attacks on homes, and shootings on Palestinians, are occurring concurrently with the genocidal assault on the Gaza Strip.

The Front further emphasized that amid the chaos unfolding in Gaza,  occupation forces are intensifying their atrocities and collaborating with settlers to quell any potential uprising in the West Bank. This includes bolstering settlements, which are integral to the Israeli agenda in Palestine, and serve as a lifeline and cornerstone for its policies and crimes against the Palestinian population.
