Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani made a statement on Wednesday slamming the proposed maritime task force in the Red Sea as a plot to intervene in foreign affairs. His statement came in response to comments by US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan about talks with other countries concerning the formation of the force under the pretext of protecting security in the region,

“Contrary to US officials’ claims, the military presence of that country in the region’s lands and waters has never been a source of security, and the US government, with its illegal plots and interventions, has pursued the security and illegitimate interests of the Zionist regime at the cost of destabilizing regional countries and violating the rights of the Palestinian nation,” Kanaani said.

He emphasized that regional security can be achieved by countries in the region itself, away from foreign intervention.

“The US [expression of] concern about the region’s security, while Washington is fully backing the war, crime, and genocide against Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank by the Zionist regime, is more like a bitter joke and bespeaks the blatant hypocrisy of the US government,” Kanaani further added.

He also held the US responsible for the atrocities being committed by "Israel" in Gaza, calling it the "main culprit" due to its undying support of the Israeli occupation through the constant military aid it keeps sending to execute the massacres of the Palestinian people.

Al-Aqsa Flood has crushed US plans

A few days ago, Iran held "Israel" and the United States responsible for all the atrocities committed in Gaza. Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani accused the "Zionist criminals" of initiating a new phase of violence with the backing of the American government. The statement was shared on X.

The deadly aggression on Gaza resumed immediately after the conclusion of a seven-day truce between "Israel" and Gaza, which was supported by Iran. Kanaani placed the blame for the ongoing aggression and deaths on "Israel", the US, and other supportive governments, referring to "Israel" as an "apartheid regime".

While US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and other global leaders advocated for an extension of the ceasefire to allegedly protect Palestinian civilians with nothing done on the ground to this end, Kanaani asserted that the majority of nations worldwide were calling for a complete halt to the "Zionist regime's attacks against Gaza and the West Bank."

Iran, in its continuous support for Palestine, stated that Operation Al-Aqsa Flood has crushed US plans to take over the region.

"The historic event of al-Aqsa Flood is against the Zionist regime but it is aimed at de-Americanization. This incident literally managed to disrupt the table of American policies in the region, and God willing, if this Flood continues, it will wipe out the whole table,” Iranian leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei said.

"Israel's" aggression on Gaza, he said, did not discredit only the occupation, but the United States, several European countries, and Western culture and civilization in general as well.

“The barbaric and cruel actions that the Zionist regime committed in its crimes against the people of Gaza, not only destroyed the reputation of the regime, but also that of the United States. It took away the reputation of several renowned European countries, and also ruined the reputation of Western culture and civilization,” he indicated.
