Iran FM: New war fronts to open if US continues to support 'Israel'
Amir-Abdollahian advises that this continued support would backfire against Washington as well, after also advising them to act with caution to reduce tensions.
During an interview with Bloomberg on Saturday, Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian warned of ensuing new war fronts if the US continues its unconditional support for "Israel" amid its continuous massacres in Gaza.
“If the Israelis do not stop the war and continue with the killing and crimes [against the Palestinians], the opening of new fronts will be unavoidable, and that will put Israel in a new situation that will make it regret its actions,” he warned, adding that “The US is advising others to show self-restraint, but it has sided completely with Israel,” which is described by international law as an “occupying power.”
Amir-Abdollahian advised that it would backfire against Washington as well, after also advising them to act with caution to reduce tensions.
He added further that Operation Al-Aqsa Flood was a “completely Palestinian decision”.

“Hamas, Islamic Jihad and [Lebanon’s Resistance movement] Hezbollah are groups that act in line with their own countries’ interests. They neither take orders from us nor do we give them orders,” he said.
“They themselves have forces to train. They produce the weapons and equipment they need. We have a strong political bond with Hezbollah and resistance groups,” he continued.
Amir-Abdollahian continued to deny reports of dispatching new Iranian forces to Syria, Iraq and other countries in the region as of October 7, but still stressed that Iran will not remain silent and will continue to make decisions based on its own interests, national security, and the regional situation.
'Bestial crimes'
This follows as the diplomat reiterated his country's firm stance on supporting the oppressed Palestinian people in the face of "Israel's" "bestial crimes."
"The Islamic Republic has placed consistent support for the Palestinian people's liberating struggle and resistance with the aim of complete realization of their human rights, among the substantive principles of its foreign policy," he told UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, after stressing the condemnation of "Israel's" genocide in the Gaza Strip.
The Iranian diplomat noted that silence by some countries and support by the United States has encouraged "Israel" to ramp up its deadly attacks against civilians in Gaza and the West Bank as he urged the international community, especially the UN Security Council, to act upon their duty quickly to support the Palestinian people's resistance.
