Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Intelligence Organization announced that it has uncovered and dismantled what it described as a sabotage network operating inside the country under the direction of US and Israeli intelligence agencies. The group was identified following several stages of monitoring and surveillance, according to a statement released on Tuesday.
The IRGC intelligence service stated that the Israeli occupation, acting as what it called the regional proxy of the United States, shifted its strategy toward internal destabilization after what it referred to as its failure in the recent 12-day war. The statement said this shift included forming networks aimed at disrupting public security during the second half of the autumn period.
According to the statement, the dismantling operation was carried out simultaneously across several Iranian provinces. Intelligence units reportedly tracked the network’s movements and communications before launching coordinated raids targeting cells linked to the Israeli occupation. The IRGC said that all members of the network have been arrested, and further investigations are underway.
The announcement comes amid what Iranian security officials describe as an intensified campaign to counter espionage and sabotage efforts targeting critical infrastructure and public institutions.
Security tightened after recent confrontation
The developments follow the 12-day war the Israeli occupation waged on Iran, during which the conflict between Tehran and Tel Aviv extended beyond direct military engagements to include covert, cyber, and intelligence operations. Iranian authorities say that following those events, internal security measures have been expanded to prevent further infiltration and disruption attempts.
Over recent months, Iran has increased monitoring of suspected foreign-linked networks, citing past incidents of targeted assassinations, infrastructure damage, and coordinated unrest. Officials say these efforts have led to a series of “precise arrests” of individuals believed to be part of organized cells working to undermine national stability.
Iranian security services indicated that surveillance and counter-intelligence operations will continue, emphasizing that further announcements may follow pending interrogation results and ongoing assessments.
Iran weeding out Israeli networks
A few months earlier, back in June, the Iranian security forces arrested dozens of individuals across multiple provinces on charges related to collaboration with the Israeli occupation amid the war that was unfolding at the time.
Police in the central province of Isfahan announced the arrest of four individuals suspected of working with the Israeli regime and revealed the discovery of a drone and model aircraft manufacturing workshop. Authorities reported the seizure of a significant quantity of equipment and spare parts used in the production of unmanned aerial vehicles.
Additionally, in the northern province of Qazvin, Iranian security agencies confirmed the detention of five individuals accused of fomenting unrest and supporting the ongoing Israeli aggression against Iran.
According to Tasnim news agency, Isfahan’s cyber police also uncovered a network of 60 individuals allegedly engaged in disinformation campaigns designed to disrupt public order and serve the interests of the Israeli regime.
