Iranian president praises Gaza's 'strong Resistance'
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian hails Gaza’s resistance as a monumental victory over "Israel’s" relentless 15-month-long war.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian extended his congratulations to the people of Gaza for their victory against "Israel’s" brutal 15-month-long war.
"We congratulate the resisting people of Gaza and Palestine on the occasion of this victory. They stood up to Israel with strength and esteem, and attained this great achievement," Pezeshkian said during a meeting on Monday.
He further praised Gaza's Resistance, stating, "This resisting people taught other nations how they should stand up to terrorism."
Pezeshkian’s comments followed the first phase of a ceasefire agreement between "Israel" and the Hamas Resistance movement.
The president referred to the extensive violence committed by "Israel" and its allies in Gaza, which resulted in the killing of over 47,000 Palestinians, primarily women and children. He labeled these acts as "an instance of terrorism," adding, "This is while, they [Tel Aviv and its backers] accuse us of supporting terrorism."
Iranian president highlights Iran's victimhood of terrorism
Addressing terrorism in a broader context, Pezeshkian declared that Iran, too, has been a victim, citing the numerous Iranian officials and figures killed by enemies seeking to halt the country.
He offered condolences over the recent assassination of two Supreme Court judges, stating, "The martyrdom of these dear ones serves as the reason and testament to [the fact that] the Islamic Republic of Iran and this Revolution are victims of terror."
While acknowledging the threat posed by Iran’s enemies, Pezeshkian emphasized the resilience of the Iranian people, stating, "Our enemies assume that they can incapacitate us. However, if the people are with us, no power can incapacitate us."
He urged Iranian authorities to adopt an inclusive approach and honor their commitments to the nation.
This comes shortly after Abu Obeida, the military spokesperson for Hamas' al-Qassam Brigades, expressed gratitude to Iran on Sunday, hours after the ceasefire agreement in Gaza came into effect.
He thanked Iran for its unwavering support and involvement in this historic struggle through Operation True Promise, highlighting its assistance through all possible means. Additionally, he saluted the free people worldwide who demonstrated solidarity with Gaza and declared their support for the Resistance.
"O our people, we will rebuild together what the occupation has destroyed," al-Qassam's spokesperson declared. He also underlined that "this is a time for solidarity, compassion, and cooperation," vowing to thwart all the occupation's plans and ambitions.
He affirmed that every attempt to integrate the Zionist entity into the region "would be met with a flood of awareness, deeply entrenched Resistance, and the unwavering support of free peoples worldwide."
"This criminal enemy remains the root cause of all suffering in the region," Abu Obeida underscored.
