IRGC - Quds Force Palestine Unit commander Brigadier General Mohammad Said Izadi
The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that Brigadier General Mohammad Said Izadi, widely known as Haj Ramezan and head of the Quds Force’s Palestine Unit, was martyred in the recent Israeli attack on Iranian territory.
The commander of the IRGC in Tehran, Brigadier General Hassan Hassanzadeh, confirmed that funeral ceremonies for Izadi and others martyred by Israeli aggression, including many children, women, and civilians, will be held this Saturday in the capital.
The funeral procession is set to begin at 8:00 a.m. from Enqelab-e Eslami Square to Azadi Square. The bodies of the martyrs will then be transferred to their hometowns for burial.
Resistance movements mourn Hajj Ramadan
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) issued a statement mourning Izadi's martyrdom, describing him as a symbol of the resistance who offered significant support to the Palestinian people and resistance movements across the region. The group vowed that the Israeli occupation would pay the price for its crime.
Similarly, the al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, paid tribute to Izadi, calling him "an exemplary leader" who answered the call of duty in supporting the Palestinian resistance.
Senior IRGC intelligence officials also martyred
This comes after the IRGC confirmed earlier the martyrdom of three top intelligence commanders, Mohammad Kazemi, head of IRGC Intelligence; his deputy, General Hassan Mohaqqeq; and General Mohsen Bagheri, all killed in Israeli strikes on residential areas within Iran.
The Iranian Armed Forces had also previously announced the martyrdom of Brigadier General Mehdi Rabbani, deputy for operations at the Armed Forces General Staff, and Brigadier General Gholamreza Mehrabi, deputy for intelligence affairs, during the same wave of aggression.
In response, the IRGC announced that its Aerospace Force fighters had carried out a new wave of precision missile attacks targeting Israeli intelligence centers, as part of the third phase of Operation True Promise 3.
