The al-Quds Brigades – Jenin Brigade announced on Sunday that its Resistance fighters from the Silat al-Harithiya unit successfully detonated several pre-planted KJ37 ground explosives targeting Israeli occupation vehicles along the Wadi Silat al-Harithiya axis.
Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces continue their assault on Tulkarm city and its refugee camp for the 21st consecutive day and on Nur Shams camp for the eighth day, escalating military operations alongside reinforcements and a complete siege.
Israeli media highlighted that for the first time since Operation Defensive Shield in 2002, the Israeli occupation military has deployed armored vehicles in four settlements in the northern West Bank.
According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, Israeli forces intensified overnight troop and vehicle deployments into the city and have been patrolling its streets and neighborhoods, particularly in the northern and eastern areas, as surveillance drones fly at low altitudes.
WAFA further reported that Israeli troops have taken positions along the al-Alimi Street and Nablus Street, which connects the Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps, and have been stopping vehicles, searching them, checking passengers' IDs, and subjecting them to interrogation.
Israeli forces continue to seize several homes in the eastern and northern neighborhoods of Tulkarm, particularly those near the refugee camp, forcibly evacuating residents and converting the houses into military outposts.
Additionally, Israeli troops detained two Palestinian youths from the Dhinnaba suburb, east of Tulkarm, after raiding their homes.
The Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps have seen heavy deployment of Israeli infantry forces, who have raided homes, conducted searches, and wreaked havoc in several neighborhoods. The ongoing Israeli siege and assault have exacerbated the humanitarian crisis, forcing the displacement of more than 15,000 residents from both camps.
Eyewitnesses told WAFA that Israeli forces have been blowing up doors and destroying the interiors of homes in Nur Shams camp during raids. Soldiers have reportedly smashed doors, windows, and furniture and have used civilians as human shields while deploying reconnaissance drones inside homes, spreading fear and distress among residents.
According to the witnesses, Israeli troops also caused significant destruction in the homes they seized in the Jabal al-Nasr neighborhood of the camp, where they reportedly desecrated copies of the Quran.
Day 27 of Israeli assault on Jenin
Simultaneously, "Israel’s" military campaign against Jenin and its refugee camp has entered its 27th consecutive day, resulting in 25 Palestinian martyrs, dozens of injuries, and widespread destruction of infrastructure and private property.
Israeli warplanes and drones maintain a heavy presence over Jenin, while occupation forces have turned civilian homes into military bases. Infantry units have been deployed near the al-Aseer Mosque in the Jenin camp, and additional reinforcements continue to pour into the area.
At dawn on Sunday, Israeli forces took positions near the al-Nimr gas station in Jenin, firing live rounds heavily in its vicinity.
As the assault on Jenin camp persists, the extent of destruction to homes, businesses, and public infrastructure becomes more apparent with each passing day.
