Israeli media says Gaza operation makes no change to status quo
Israeli media is sending clear signs of pessimism in light of the recent stern response from the Palestinian Resistance.
Israeli media voiced concerns about the expansion of the scope of the ongoing confrontations, sparked by the assassination of three Palestinian Resistance commanders in Gaza.
There are concerns that Hamas will join in, turning the limited attacks into a full-blown battle with more advanced rockets and missiles, Israeli Channel 13 said.
The Israeli outlet added that four days into the confrontations, there exists a certain feeling of frustration in "Israel". Hope has been lost and the promises of a deadly strike that would alter the "rules of the game" seem far-fetched and unattainable, the Israeli channel said.
"It is better to say the harsh, gloomy truth, which is that the operation against Gaza is not making any change to the status quo; it is a mere additional round of fighting and nothing else. Nothing is going to change because change is very costly and painful," the broadcaster added.
The Palestinian resistance has so far fired at least 1,100 rockets toward the occupied Palestinian territories, the Israeli KAN public broadcaster reported.
Moreover, Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, threatened the Israeli occupation through a video it published, titled: "Your sling will not do you any good," in reference to "Israel's" David's Sling anti-missile system that was used for the first time to intercept Palestinian Resistance rockets fired from the Gaza Strip toward "Tel Aviv".
In the video, Al-Quds Brigades presented the features of the Buraq-85 rocket, which was manufactured by its fighters in 2019 and has a range of 85 kilometers.
The PIJ warned that more strikes will hit the enemy's depth in response to targeting and destroying civilian houses.
According to the Ministry of Health, the number of Palestinians killed as a result of the ongoing Israeli occupation aggression against Gaza rose to 33 martyrs, including six Resistance leaders, and 111 injured.
In the same context, a PIJ source told Al Mayadeen that the crime of assassinating the leaders of Al-Quds Brigades will backfire sending terror across the enemy and defeating its security and army.

Moreover, Al-Quds Brigades claimed its responsibility for an attack that targeted a gathering of Israeli vehicles and soldiers with high-caliber ammunition as part of the ongoing Operation Avenging the Free, confirming that the attack was precise and caused direct casualties among enemy lines.
Furthermore, the Brigades confirmed the targeting of another Israeli military site with high-caliber ammunition earlier today.
A preliminary report surfaced in Israeli media which indicated that the attack on "Nahal Oz" resulted in an injury among IOF troops after it confirmed that the site had been directly hit by Palestinian Resistance rockets.
