Israeli media: 7 suspects infiltrate 'Israel' through Jordanian border
Israeli media reports a suspected infiltration operation at the occupied Palestinian-Jordanian border and declares a state of emergency in neighboring settlements.
Israeli media reported on Monday that the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) have suspected that 7 individuals have conducted an infiltration operation into "Israel" through the Jordanian border.
Reports have underscored that the IOF managed to rush to the scene and successfully arrested 5 of the 7 suspected infiltrators and considered the "two others were able to enter" a danger to the surrounding settlements.
As such, Israeli media announced that a state of emergency had been declared in the neighboring settlements.
The infiltration operation came, following Israeli allegations regarding thwarting the "smuggling of a large number of weapons" operation, last week, across the Jordanian border in the occupied West Bank's Al-Aghwar region.
While a media blackout continues to be imposed on the nature of the operation Al-Aghwar region and the smuggled contents, it remained known that the Israeli allegations stated that the weapons were on their way to the Resistance in the occupied West Bank.

In that regard, Israeli media had regularly mentioned that the popular Arab stance supports the Palestinian Resistance and projects a strong hostility towards "Israel".
Relations between "Israel" and Jordan were strained, as "Israel" continued to arrest Jordanian citizens every now and then.
In 2019, "Israel" arrested two Jordanian citizens, Hiba Al-Labadi and Abd Al-Rahman Marei. Months after their arrest, Jordan withdrew its ambassador to "Tel Aviv" in protest.
Most recently, a member of the Jordanian MP Imad Al-Adwan on suspicion of allegedly smuggling arms and gold across the crossing between the West Bank and Jordan, through the King Hussein Bridge.
Israeli fears of infiltration and shooting operations at the Jordanian border have increased especially following the operation carried out by Egyptian conscript Mohammad Salah on the Egyptian border fence of Sinai which resulted in the killing of 3 Israeli occupation soldiers.
Analysts believed that a large number of cross-border infiltration reflects the weakness of the IOF's ability to monitor and control alleged Israeli borders, which implied that there would exist a high probability of the recurrence of such incidents.
