40 Palestinians were killed after Israeli warplanes targeted 5 family homes in Beit Lahia, in the northern Gaza Strip, on Saturday, according to a preliminary toll.

Israeli occupation forces bombed the homes, where displaced Palestinians, as well as the residents, were present. Beit Lahia is among the areas in northern Gaza that have been subject to a renewed ethnic cleansing campaign, aimed at forcibly displacing Palestinians and massacring those who refuse to leave.

The Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia has also been besieged for several days, entrapping 600 individuals, including medical staff and patients. Moreover, Israeli occupation forces have also targeted emergency services, including ambulances and the Civil Defense.

Palestinians affected by the strikes in Beit Lahia could only hope to aid each other due to the vicious Israeli policies in the area.

In the meantime, two people were martyred as a result of the occupation artillery shelling of homes in Jabalia, while an individual was killed and other people were injured due to a strike that targeted a house in Al-Nafaq Street, in Gaza City.

On its part, the Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip confirmed that it has received urgent calls for assistance due to the martyrdom and wounding of dozens affected by the massacres in the northern Gaza Strip. Emergency authorities noted that their crews could not operate in the area due to the continuous attacks against them by Israeli occupation forces.

Resistance factions condemn the Beit Lahia massacre

Hamas condemned the Israeli massacre in Beit Lahia, stressing that it is an embodiment of one of the ugliest forms of genocide and forced displacement.

The movement held the US administration and other governments complicit in the genocide of the Palestinian people for the continued massacring of Palestinian people in the northern Gaza Strip.

Echoing these remarks, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) pointed to the aggression on the Kamal Adwan Hospital, which it said has been turned into a "slaughterhouse."

It stressed that the crimes of the occupation will not compensate for the regime's sense of helplessness.

The al-Mujahideen Movement condemned the international and regional silence and collusion, which it said led to the massacre in Beit Lahia, among other similar incidents.
