Jordan FM: World must stop Netanyahu before he drags region into war
Jordan's Minister of Foreign Affairs warns his French counterpart that the risk of a regional war is exacerbated by the day.
During a call with his French counterpart, Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, expressed grave concerns over the escalating Israeli aggression against Gaza: urging the international community to prevent Occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from dragging the region into a large-scale war.
Safadi emphasized the growing threat of the war spreading beyond Gaza, stating that the risk is "rising by the day" as "Israel" persists in its "death and destruction" campaign against the Gaza Strip.
Furthermore, Jordan's Foreign Minister warned that the Israeli occupation is aiming to involve the West in a regional war in the Middle East.
As for the United Nations' security council, he said that there was no longer any pretext preventing it from adopting a resolution forcing "Israel" to end the war. However, the failure to impose a ceasefire so far "reflects double standards and a selective application of international law."

Jordan warns Blinken, rejecting attempts to displace Palestinians
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken held a meeting on Sunday with Jordan's King Abdullah II. Additionally, he visited a World Food Program warehouse in Amman as part of his ongoing urgent diplomatic mission in the Middle East to prevent the escalation of the Israeli war on Gaza.
During his meeting with King Abdullah, Blinken was told that Jordan completely rejects the forced displacement of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, as the King stressed the necessity of “enabling the people of Gaza to return to their homes.”
King Abdullah II “warned of the catastrophic repercussions" of the war in Gaza while calling on the US to press for an immediate ceasefire, a statement by the Royal Court said.
He pointed out that Jordan categorically rejects the forced displacement of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, which constitutes a clear violation of international law, adding, “We reject attempts to separate Gaza and the West Bank because they are an extension of the one Palestinian state.”

Macron calls on 'Israel' to avoid escalation 'particularly in Lebanon'
Last week, French President Emmanuel Macron called on "Israel" to avoid escalation, "particularly in Lebanon", following an Israeli strike in the Southern Suburb of the Lebanese capital Beirut that killed Hamas Deputy Chief Saleh al-Arouri.
Macron, who spoke by telephone with Israeli Minister and war cabinet member Benny Gantz, said that "it is essential to avoid any escalatory attitude, particularly in Lebanon, and that France would continue to pass on these messages to all players directly or indirectly involved in the area", the French presidency said.
In his conversation with Gantz, Macron reiterated his call for a "lasting ceasefire" between Hamas and "Israel", the presidency said.
He also expressed again his "deepest concern" at the mounting civilian death toll in Gaza, as well as the humanitarian crisis unfolding inside the Strip, while at the same time reaffirming "France's commitment to the security of Israel."
