Lebanon's circumstances require wisdom and patience: MP Ali Fayyad

The Lebanese MP's speech comes as "Israel" continues to violate the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon, most recently by launching widespread airstrikes across Lebanon's south and Beka'a region.

Lebanese MP and member of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc Ali Fayyad stated that the circumstances Lebanon and South Lebanon especially are witnessing require wisdom and patience, during a speech on Sunday.

Fayyad emphasized the necessity of steadfastness, resilience, and courage, noting that each phase has its necessities and requirements while pointing out that the Lebanese have agreed that the government should manage the national stance in confronting the hostile actions carried out by the Israeli enemy and the repeated violations that surpass Resolution 1701. 

Fayyad indicated that the Lebanese Resistance supports the government in achieving national goals, including enforcing the Israeli withdrawal from "our land, protecting our people, and safeguarding our national interests." He affirmed their commitment to the practical measures related to the implementation of Resolution 1701.

He added that all Lebanese must recognize the danger of what "Israel" seeks to achieve—entrenching the occupation, preventing residents from returning to their border villages, and intensifying attacks on civilians under empty, fabricated, and baseless pretexts.

'Israel' pursuing escalation

Fayyad stated that the Israeli enemy is pursuing a policy of security and military escalation, aiming to reignite war and depopulate the South, warning that this paves the way for highly dangerous developments and seeks to bring about fundamental changes in Lebanon’s political and social landscape.

The Lebanese MP pointed out that the threat posed by "Israel" is no longer limited to the resistance’s weapons but now endangers the entire nation—its borders, land, state, and social fabric, stressing that all of this is happening amid American complicity and international indifference.  

He continued: "While Hezbollah has repeatedly reaffirmed its commitment to the ceasefire, adherence to Resolution 1701, and recognition of the state's authority in managing the national stance, there are those internally who take it upon themselves to justify the enemy's actions and legitimize its aggression against the Lebanese people."

'Enemy cannot break the people's will'

He warned that these individuals are committing an unforgivable national mistake, dragging the country into highly dangerous internal complications. He stressed that everyone must understand the negative consequences of such actions.  

Fayyad's remarks came during the funeral held by Hezbollah for the martyr on the path to al-Quds, Mohammad Ibrahim Shqeir, in the southern town of al-Sawwaneh. The ceremony was attended by a gathering of scholars, dignitaries, and community figures, alongside the martyr’s family and the families of other martyrs.

Fayyad concluded by affirming that the enemy is delusional if it believes that its aggression will break the will of our people and the resistance.
