Martyrs' families attend International Congress of Martyrs in Iran
The Congress saw significant official and popular attendance, along with a number of families of martyrs from the Axis of Resistance.
A large delegation of families of martyrs from Gaza, the West Bank, and al-Quds participated in the International Congress of Martyrs Defending the Shrine and the Resistance Front held Saturday in the Iranian city of Mashhad.
The Congress saw significant official and popular attendance, along with a host of families of martyrs from the Axis of Resistance.
Guests from Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan, Yemen, and Afghanistan, all of whom are members of martyrs' families, also participated in the event.
In a speech during the conference, the leader of the Islamic Republic and the Revolution, Sayyed Ali Khamenei, emphasized that these martyrs "were able to completely neutralize an important, expensive, calculated plan of the Arrogant and Colonial Powers in the West Asia region."
Sayyed Khamenei pointed out that "the enemy devised a plot and intended to destroy the Islamic system by dominating the region and simultaneously exerting economic and political, ideological and religious pressures on Iran."
"However, a group of faithful young people, with the Islamic Republic at its core, neutralized this costly plot of the Arrogant Powers," he confirmed.
Sayyed Khamenei highlighted the brutal, ruthless, and inhumane nature of the terrorist Islamic State (IS) organization and its affiliated groups, which were established with the support of weapons and propaganda from the United States and the West.
He stressed that "the goal of these organizations was to destabilize the region, especially Iran, but the Defenders of the Shrine neutralized this significant threat as well."
