Moroccan Front condemns docking of Israeli warship amid Gaza genocide
The Moroccan Front for Supporting Palestine and Opposing Normalization has issued a strong condemnation of the authorities for permitting the Israeli navy vessel INS Komemiyut to dock at the port of Tangier.
The Moroccan Front for Supporting Palestine and Opposing Normalisation condemned the authorities' move in allowing the Israeli navy ship, the INS Komemiyut, to dock at the port of Tangier, enabling its crew to replenish fuel and food supplies amid the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
The group described the authorities' actions as "dangerous, disgraceful, and cowardly," asserting that it represents "a relinquishment of national sovereignty, a blatant violation of the constitution, contempt and insult to the feelings of Moroccans, and a blatant attack on their cultural and historical heritage."
They emphasized that this action constitutes complicity and participation of the Moroccan authorities with "Israel" in its aggression against the Palestinian people and the desecration of the sanctities of the Moroccan people and the Arab and Islamic nations.
Furthermore, they stressed that it constitutes a violation of the United Nations Charter, the UN General Assembly resolution, recent rulings of the International Court of Justice, the International Criminal Court, and the report of the United Nations Human Rights Council.
The group called for an urgent investigation to determine responsibilities and punish those who are deemed liable for this action.
It also urged all active national forces in Morocco to unite efforts to confront this "dangerous tsunami," defend the country, protect its sovereignty, and support the Palestinian struggle.
Sailing from US to 'Israel'
The Israeli navy ship INS Komemiyut docked a few days ago at the Moroccan port of Tangier while sailing from the United States to "Israel". The ship arrived at the port of Haifa on June 16.
According to the Israeli Globes website, the ship stopped at the port of Tangier to replenish supplies after contacting Morocco, where the equipment was transferred onboard.
In further detail, the ship turned off its location transponder during the transfer of supplies at Tangier.
The INS Komemiyut, constructed in the US, is the Israeli Navy's second landing craft, following the INS Nahshon, which was delivered in early October of the previous year.
INS Nahshon also docked in Morocco while en route to "Israel" before arriving at the port of Haifa in September last year.
This is happening as the Israeli genocide against Palestinains has gone on for 261 days, killing at least 37,431 and injuring 85,653 according to the Gaza Health Ministry.
