BREAKING
Sheikh Qassem: Resistance is a source of power for Lebanon that must be preserved.
Sheikh Qassem: "Israel" must implement the agreement as Lebanon has already done so, and any new accord would amount to absolving it and opening the door to further attacks.
Sheikh Qassem: We do not wish to assume anyone's role; those accusing us of this must cease their accusations.
Sheikh Qassem: We will recover our lands through national solidarity; Resistance's goal is national liberation, while enemy goal is occupation.
Sheikh Qassem: Protection of sovereignty protects Lebanon. It is in real danger because of US belligerence, greedy Israeli expansion.
Qassem to Lebanese people: We are not asking for support but for us not to be stabbed in the back in the back or for some to serve Israeli interests; government is primary party responsible for [preservation of] sovereignty.
Sheikh Qassem: "Israel" can occupy, but it cannot persist in occupation of our land.
Sheikh Qassem: Intimidation will not change our stance of resistance and steadfastness. We are not advocates of surrender or defeat, and we will never accept it.
Sheikh Qassem: Where does US stand regarding enemy's unjustified assassination of a government worker and other civilian martyrs?
Sheikh Qassem: Is the Lebanese Army's defense of its land and citizens an accusation [leveled against it]? Where does US stand regarding the enemy's killing of civilians and constant destruction?

The Movement of Society for Peace (MSP) organized a solidarity stand in Algeria's capital to mark the first anniversary of Operation al-Aqsa Flood, in support of the Palestinian cause and condemning the Israeli occupation's crimes against the Palestinian people, as reported by the official Algeria Press Service.

The event, held under the slogan In Support of the October 7, 2023, Epic, took place on Saturday and saw the participation of the movement's leader and its senior officials, along with parliamentarians, representatives of political parties, civil society organizations, and national and trade union figures.

Prominent in attendance were Mousa Abu Marzouk, a senior Hamas official, and the movement's representative in Algeria, Yousef Hamdan.

Participants raised Palestinian flags and chanted slogans in support of Palestine and the Palestinian cause. They affirmed their "unconditional solidarity" with the Palestinian people, who have been facing a campaign of genocide for more than a year. They also voiced their support for the Palestinians' legitimate struggle and their right to resist in pursuit of liberating their land and establishing an independent state.

Hamas: 'Israel' now rejected in region, globally

Abdelali Hassani Sherif, head of the MSP, emphasized that the Palestinian cause is central to the movement, which fully supports "the Palestinian people fighting to liberate their occupied land." He highlighted the significant sacrifices made by the Palestinian people, including thousands of martyrs, with particular recognition for the leaders of the resistance in Palestine and Lebanon.

Mousa Abu Marzouk praised Algeria's unwavering support for Palestine, stating, "After 70 years of occupation, there is now a conviction that resistance is the only path to liberating Palestine."

"The Palestinian people have paid a heavy price during the ongoing Zionist aggression for more than a year, but they have also achieved notable gains," he said. "Chief among these is the cessation of normalization, as this entity is now not only rejected in the region but by most countries globally, including the UN Security Council and the General Assembly."

In related events, thousands of people demonstrated in Tunisia, Morocco, Senegal, and other countries to protest "the international silence on the genocide being carried out by Israel in Gaza."

In Morocco, protesters demanded that Arab and Islamic nations support Palestine and condemned the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza and Lebanon. The demonstrators chanted slogans praising Palestinian resilience and vocing support for Lebanon, vowing to continue their protests until the war ends.

Tunisia

In Tunisia, the Tunisian Association for the Support of Palestine called for demonstrations in solidarity with Palestine and the Palestinian cause.

Mohamed el-Bashir Khodari, the executive director of the Supporters of Palestine Association, stated, "This is the 52nd weekly protest we have organized since the beginning of al-Aqsa Flood, and we will continue to support the Palestinian people." He reaffirmed their solidarity with the resistance forces in Gaza, Lebanon, Iraq, and Yemen.

October 7 demonstrations

On October 7, and to commemorate the start of the Israeli onslaught on Gaza, demonstrators across the globe voiced their condemnation of Israeli aggression and showed solidarity with the people of Gaza, who are enduring unprecedented attacks on both civilians and infrastructure, compounded by inhumane conditions under siege. The brutal Israeli aggression has also spread into Lebanon, further escalating tensions in the region.

Thousands gathered for the "Free Palestine" march, which commenced at Russell Square in London and progressed toward Whitehall, highlighting the ongoing calls for justice and an immediate ceasefire.

London hosted a significant demonstration in solidarity with Palestine and Lebanon, where protesters called on the UK government to halt arms sales to "Israel".

Meanwhile, in France, members of the La France Insoumise movement led a pro-Palestine demonstration, reflecting the growing international momentum for Palestinian rights and highlighting the urgent calls for justice and an end to the war in the region.

Soldiers of the Greek Army took part in demonstrations opposing imperialist wars, calling for Greece's complete disengagement from the violent actions of "Israel", the US, and the EU in West Asia.

Many more marches and protests emerged in New York, Tokyo, Rome, Berlin, and Sydney, in a strong show of rejection of the international community's inaction toward the war crimes and atrocities being committed in Lebanon and Gaza.

Moreover, the largest national march in support of Palestine and Lebanon kicked off in the Moroccan capital of Rabat on the first anniversary of Operation al-Aqsa Flood.

Several Moroccan organizations and political parties called for participation in the solidarity march with Gaza on Sunday, including the Progressive, Socialist, and Justice and Development parties, along with various unions and civil organizations.

During the march, which passed through Mohammed V Street and Bab El Had Square, demonstrators raised the Palestinian and Lebanese flags, carried the Palestinian koufiyyeh, and chanted slogans condemning Israeli crimes against the Palestinian and Lebanese people.

The march was held under the slogan "Al-Aqsa Flood until the Liberation of Palestine and the Collapse of Normalization."
