The Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, affirmed that Iranian deterrence is fully intact and capable of responding to any foreign aggression.
Speaking at a ceremony on Thursday marking 40 days since the martyrdom of Iranian military commanders in the Israeli-US aggression, Mousavi praised the nation's resilience and defensive strength.
"The deterrence power of the Islamic Republic of Iran is complete," he said. "As the Leader of the Islamic Revolution has stated, the Iranian nation is well-equipped both for negotiations and for defense."
He warned that any new act of aggression would be met with a decisive and crushing response, far greater than in the past.
Mousavi emphasized that the unprovoked attacks in June, which claimed the lives of military commanders, scientists, students, and civilians, only strengthened national resolve. He further said the Iranian military is prepared to defend the country’s sovereignty at all costs.
“Enemies do not understand that any aggressor who sets foot on this soil will be faced by a united Iranian people, regardless of their background or beliefs,” he stated.
Mousavi: 'Israel' has no future
On June 13, "Israel" launched a direct assault on Iran, triggering a 12-day war that left over 1,000 people dead. The United States joined the Israeli war on Iran days later by bombing nuclear sites in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, a flagrant violation of international law.
In response, the Iranian Armed Forces carried out targeted retaliatory strikes on strategic positions across the occupied territories and the al-Udeid air base in Qatar, the largest US military base in West Asia.
Addressing the broader implications of the war, Mousavi said that "Israel's" primary goal is to destabilize Iran and drag the region into war.
"The child-killing Zionist regime has no future. What it displays is merely a sign of anxiety and collapse. This regime is like a brakeless vehicle, aimlessly heading toward destruction,” he said.
He also warned US and Western leaders against endangering their countries’ futures by aligning with "Israel" and attempting to shield Benjamin Netanyahu from accountability.
"Iranians will never forget the wounds inflicted by the United States’ betrayals and crimes," he said, adding that future generations will continue to demand justice for the suffering inflicted on the nation.
