North 'neglected, burnt'; 'we are in state of collapse': Israeli media
Israeli authorities have abandoned northern occupied territories, as a similar situation threatens to affect the regime's "weak underbelly" in a possible escalation.
Israeli politicians and officials are unsatisfied with the performance of authorities in regard to the continuous rocket attacks from Lebanon on Israeli assets in the district of occupied Safad in the past few days.
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah has matched Israeli occupation forces escalation by launching rocket attacks deeper into occupied territories in response to Israeli aircraft aggressions on Lebanese towns and civilians.
Just yesterday, Hezbollah fighters fired at least two barrages of rockets at Israeli military sites in the district of Safad, targeting bases located as far as 20 km away from the Israeli line of withdrawal from South Lebanon.
The director of the Fighting For the North campaign, Rafael Slab, lambasted Israeli authorities for the current situation in northern occupied territories, stressing future consequences.
"Those who do not respond to the rocket attacks on Metulla, Kiryat Shmona, Safad, and Nahariya will eventually be dealt a blow in the soft underbelly of Israel, which is the area of Gush Dan," Slab told Israeli broadcaster Channel 14.
Gush Dan is the largest metropolitan area in Israeli-occupied territories and the center of the regime's financial and high-tech sectors.
The area is stratified into subsections, starting off from Tel Aviv, which is at its center. The area then extends to include an inner metropolitan area, an outer metropolitan area, and areas of influence.
Moreover, the area includes the majority of the Israeli regime's economic output and the largest portion of Israeli settlers.

Safad is 'dead': Mayor
Slab's remarks come after Hezbollah extended its range of operations to include areas to the north of Lake of Tabarya, which encompasses the occupied city of Safad and Rosh Pina.
According to Israeli broadcaster Channel 13, more than 150 rockets were fired at occupied territories from Lebanon in the past 48 hours.
Meanwhile, the head of the Israeli Safad municipality council, Yossi Kakon, said the city has become the main target of Hezbollah's attacks, a situation he described as "routine".
"We are in a state of collapse," Kakon, who is a member of the Shas Party, an integral faction of the Benjamin Netanyahu-led coalition government.
He also said that "not a single person" has taken up the responsibility to deal with the grave situation in the city, which he described as "dead".

Israeli Major General: War with Lebanon is a "mistake"
In the context of Hezbollah's operations in support of the Palestinian people, a former Israeli commander and reserve officer, Major General Noam Tibon, said that "Israel is neither achieving victory nor heading toward it," especially on the northern front with Lebanon.
During a panel discussion broadcast by Israeli Channel 12, Tibon stated the northern occupied territories, have been "neglected and burnt," and the officials are untruthful in regard to the developments in the area.
He also accused Netanyahu of neglecting Israeli settlers in the area.
"Opening a major battle in the north requires the closure of the southern front," he said in reference to the front with Lebanon and the war on Gaza respectively.
"The army must be given time to regroup and transfer divisions from the south to the north," Tibon added, highlighting the complexities of launching an aggression on Lebanon.
He noted that the ongoing war of attrition is exhausting "Israel" and is "a mistake", acknowledging that the Israeli military is too small for its security tasks and is short of three divisions.
Hezbollah has been able to threaten and precisely hit targets along the northern front and tens of kilometers deep into Israeli occupied territories by using a fraction of its miltary and precision strike capabilities.
Hezbollah's drones fly undisturbed over northern territories
One of the most successful weapons deployed by Hezbollah have been its one-way attack drones and other unmanned aircraft.
Just today, a drone launched from Lebanon flew for 10 minutes, traveling 30 kilometers from the Israeli line of withdrawal through the Hula Valley, near the Jordan River, without being intercepted, as reported by the Israeli Army Radio.

Soon after, news emerged that three individuals were injured, one moderately, in a drone strike launched from Lebanon.
Earlier, Israeli broadcaster Channel 13 reported that Hezbollah's drones "pose the main challenge" for Israeli air defenses.
It highlighted the fact that Hezbollah's one-way attack drones are impacting their targets, as "Israel's" top-tier Iron Dome system and fighter aircraft fail to bring them down. The broadcaster revealed that more than 1,000 drones have been launched toward northern Israeli-occupied territories since the war on Gaza was launched.
Recreating such scenarios in the regime's economic center with the use of more advanced weapons is surely to aggravate the crises faced by Israeli settlers and their leaders at an unprecedented scale, as the political and military echelon threatens Lebanon with wide-scale operation.
