Intense confrontations erupted in various cities across the Gaza Strip as Palestinian Resistance factions engaged with Israeli occupation forces. The Resistance also targeted Israeli military gatherings and vehicles while also launching attacks on surrounding settlements.

In northern Gaza, the al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas Resistance movement, announced that they attacked "enemy forces positioned around the University College, south of Gaza City, with heavy mortar shells."

Al-Qassam Brigades said their fighters targeted an Israeli infantry unit with an anti-personnel explosive device, resulting in casualties among the soldiers.

In the Tell al-Hawa neighborhood, south of Gaza City, al-Qassam fighters attacked an Israeli force entrenched inside a building with an anti-personnel shell, causing further casualties. The brigades also reported hitting an Israeli Namer armored personnel carrier with an al-Yassin 105 anti-tank RPG.

Al-Qassam Brigades further stated that their fighters engaged in fierce battles at close range with Israeli occupation forces advancing south of Tell al-Hawa. They also attacked an Israeli assembly point with mortar shells in the same area.

In the central Gaza Strip, al-Qassam Brigades fighters targeted Israeli command centers in the Netzarim area with short-range Rajoum rockets, as per a statement released by the Resistance faction. They also bombarded advancing Israeli forces in the Juhor al-Dik area with mortar shells.

Al-Quds Brigades bombard Netzarim

Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad announced their shelling of Israeli forces and vehicles at the Abu Ariban site near Netzarim with mortar shells and 107 mm rockets.

They also targeted Israeli troops and equipment around the Reem Hall area south of Deir al-Balah with 60mm mortars. Additionally, they fired on a low-flying Israeli helicopter over the Zanna area east of Khan Younis.

In southern Gaza, al-Quds Brigades targeted an Israeli military crane and its surroundings in the Zanna area with heavy mortar fire. They confirmed that an Israeli helicopter landed to evacuate dead and wounded soldiers after the crane and its vicinity caught fire.

Moreover, Resistance fighters shelled Israeli forces and vehicles in the Bani Suheila cemetery area east of Khan Younis with regular mortars. The al-Quds Brigades media wing reported that the forces shelled the Nahal Oz Kibbutz military site with heavy mortars and launched a rocket barrage at Sderot and other settlements around Gaza.

Al-Qassam's Military Media reported that Resistance fighters targeted an infantry Israeli engineering force with an anti-personnel explosive device in the Salam neighborhood area east of Rafah, causing casualties.

They also hit an Israeli Namer armored personnel carrier with a Red Arrow guided missile near the Hassam Tower in Tel Sultan, Rafah.

Al-Qassam Brigades released footage earlier on Sunday, showing their fighters confronting Israeli soldiers and vehicles in the eastern Khan Younis area of southern Gaza.

Israeli soldier dead

The Israeli occupation army admitted on Sunday the death of an Israeli soldier as a result of confrontations with Palestinian Resistance fighters in Gaza, bringing the total of officers and soldiers killed since the start of the invasion of Gaza to 331.

According to the IOF, Sgt. Yonatan Aharon Greenblatt, 21, of the Givati Brigade Shaked Battalion, died on Sunday after succumbing to critical wounds sustained in Rafah last week as a result of an anti-tank projectile that hit a building he was positioned in.

The Israeli occupation forces admitted on Friday that a soldier was killed after he was targeted with an anti-tank projectile while operating a D9 bulldozer in southern Gaza.

Under "cleared for publication", the IOF stated that the soldier was Moti Raveh, a sergeant in the reserves, who worked as an operator of heavy engineering machinery within the Givati Brigade.

This comes as the Palestinian Resistance in Gaza continues to confront the occupation forces across multiple fronts, particularly in Khan Younis, Gaza City, and Rafah. For over 290 days, these ongoing battles have exacerbated the Israeli losses, in both personnel and equipment.

An Israeli Security source described on Saturday the Hamas tunnels in the Gaza Strip as resembling a "spider's web."

Speaking to Channel 12, the source revealed that despite extensive efforts, Israeli forces have yet to fully understand or control the network of tunnels used by the Resistance group.

Hamas fighters have effectively used these tunnels to launch surprise attacks, managing to disappear underground and strike simultaneously from multiple locations, the source said, adding that the group uses its tunnels to move forces and logistical equipment throughout Gaza, suggesting that dismantling the network and restoring security would require a prolonged and sustained conflict.
