Various Resistance brigades across the West Bank confronted the Israeli occupation forces storming several West Bank cities and camps with bullets and explosive devices.

During the invasion of Jenin and its camp, the Resistance strategically targeted a vehicle affiliated with the Israeli occupation forces using an explosive device. Similarly, the Resistance in Nablus also detonated an explosive device to confront Israeli occupation forces during their incursion into the town of Burqa.

It is important to note that the Israeli occupation forces invaded the city of Tulkarm twice last night and invaded the city of Jenin earlier today.

In what has become an almost daily occurrence, the Israeli Occupation Forces indiscriminately fired upon civilians near the Jenin Governmental Hospital. Simultaneously, confrontations had erupted in the camp and surrounding neighborhoods of Jenin. As IOF reinforcements arrived, confrontations escalated at the Cinema Square, in Jenin. Confrontations also extended to reach the Burqin Roundabout and in the area located in the vicinity of the Kafr Qud Roundabout.

Recurrent invasion of Tulkarm

A reconnaissance plane flew over the city and its camp during the Israeli raid which also saw the deployment of IOF snipers on the rooftops of Palestinian homes.

The occupation forces had invaded the city of Tulkarm last night and roamed the western neighborhood area before withdrawing and re-invading the city from the western axis early a dawn. For the second invasion, the Israeli occupation forces deployed a large number of vehicles supported by two bulldozers and made their way towards the Nour Shams camp east of the city.

Occupation forces imposed a strict siege on the entrances to the Nur Shams camp and deployed more military reinforcements in the area. At the same time, occupation bulldozers sabotaged and destroyed the infrastructure of several axes, including the vicinity of the Martyr Saeed Abu Libdeh Roundabout, which is adjacent to the primary entrance.

IOF soldiers also raided a number of houses belonging to citizens on the main street, searched them, and deployed snipers on the high buildings in the vicinity of the camp.

The IOF randomly fired indiscriminately at the cars lined up along Railway Street in the city, and deployed their patrols along Nablus Street connecting the camps of Tulkarm and Nour Shams. Meanwhile, consecutive explosions were heard, and ambulances were prevented from reaching the Nour Shams camp.

In 123 days only, 'Israel' detained 6,870 Palestinians in West Bank

Institutions concerned with Palestinian detainees’ affairs said Israeli occupation forces detained 1,236 Palestinian citizens, including 30 women and 73 children, in the occupied West Bank in January 2024.

The highest number of detentions targeted occupied al-Quds, with 309 detentions recorded, followed by al-Khalil Governorate with 220 arrests, whereas Tulkarm Governorate saw 150 detention cases.

The prisoners' affairs institutions explained that, in light of the continued aggression on Gaza, the total number of detentions since October 7 in the West Bank to date amounted to 6,870, including more than 215 women and 400 children.

Meanwhile, the number of journalists detained since October 7 reached 52, with 37 of them, including two female journalists, still in detention.

The number of announced martyrs of the Captive Movement reached 7, one of whose identity is yet to be revealed, not to mention the Palestinians detained from Gaza who were martyred and executed inside Israeli occupation camps, and whose identities and the circumstances of their martyrdom are yet to be revealed.

The total number of detainees in Israeli occupation prisons, as of the end of January, stands at 9,000, excluding Gaza detainees held in camps as they continue to be forcibly disappeared.

The total number of administrative detentions, which is a precedent, stands at 3,484, including 11 women, at least 40 children, and 21 journalists.
