'Israel' kills Palestinian in West Bank amid incursions, mass arrests
Israeli occupation forces continue their near-daily raids on Palestinian cities and towns in the West Bank, launching a wide-scale arrest campaign.
A Palestinian youth was killed and five others were injured, three critically, on Monday morning, by Israeli occupation forces’ gunfire, during their storming of the town of Halhul, north of al-Khalil, in the south of the West Bank.
Local Palestinian sources said the occupation forces stormed the town of Halhul, resulting in confrontations during which bullets, stun grenades, and poisonous gas were fired at Palestinian youths. The Israeli attacks killed Palestinian youth Mahmoud Ahmad al-Atrash (21 years old) and injured five others, three of whom are in critical condition. Several cases of suffocation with the poisonous gas were also reported.

Israeli occupation forces arrested eight citizens, including a woman, from al-Khalil Governorate, in the southern West Bank.
The Israeli forces also raided several cities and towns in the occupied West Bank Sunday overnight on Monday, launching a wide-scale arrest campaign against Palestinians, where 50 were arrested.
Among the targeted areas was the Shuafat camp in northern occupied al-Quds, where numerous Palestinians were arrested. Local reports indicate that the IOF used military-grade helicopters in their infiltration of the camp.
The Israeli occupation also raided Nilin, a Palestinian town to the northwest of Ramallah, as well as the small town of Khirbat al-Nabi Elias located to the east of Qalqilya in the western-most part of the occupied West Bank.
The occupation's forces infiltrated the northern and eastern sides of Nablus where they were met with heavy gunfire by Resistance fighters.
Among the arrestees is Ahed Tamimi, (22 years old) at Birzeit University, who was taken from her family’s home in the town of Nabi Saleh, north of Ramallah.
The Israeli website Ynet reported that Tamimi, who was previously convicted of attacking an officer and a soldier in the Israeli army, was arrested because of a post she wrote about a week ago on her Instagram account in which she threatened settlers in the West Bank.
Palestinian media reported that Israeli forces ransacked her house before her arrest.

According to Palestinian journalist Mohammad Hamdan, "Israel" seeks to spatially divide the West Bank into cantons and forcibly displace Palestinians from territories designated under Area C.
Area C constitutes over 60% of the West Bank and comes under direct Israeli jurisdiction and control. The indigenous Palestinian population in these territories faces severe challenges, with their homes being demolished, infrastructural limitations imposed, and essential state services like water access denied. In Area C, a significant portion of internationally prohibited Israeli settlements continues to be built on Palestinian land, further distancing historic towns and villages apart.
Occupation forces also detained Maarouf al-Rifai, a media consultant for the Palestinian Authority's al-Quds governor, in the town of Anata.
The occupation raids and arrest campaigns in the West Bank have recurred on a daily basis since Operation Al-Aqsa Flood was launched on October 7. The last count published on November 1 tallied more than 1,850 detainments in the West Bank and occupied 1948 territories. The number of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails remains ambiguous, as the occupation employs restrictive measures and brutalizes Palestinians.
Before the aggression on Gaza took place, there were more than 5,200 Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons, subjected to inhumane practices and maltreatment. Israeli occupation forces also arrested thousands of legal Palestinian workers from Gaza releasing a few thousand on Friday, after holding them for 25 days under secretive conditions.
Released workers said they were physically assaulted, verbally abused, and stripped naked during their detention period.
"Israel's" aggression on Palestinian workers and Palestinian citizens in the West Bank, coincides with an unprecedented aggression on the Gaza Strip, which has destroyed or damaged around half of the Strip's residential units.
Earlier on Sunday, the Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that the number of martyrs has risen to 9,770, including 4,800 children, and 2,550 women, adding that the IOF committed 24 massacres in the past 24 hours, resulting in 243 martyrs.
