Poll points, clout Biden's main concern in opposite narratives on Gaza
US President Joe Biden focuses on all that matters, appeasing both sides amid diverging narratives on the administration's policies when it comes to the war on Gaza.
US President Joe Biden has his eyes set on his clout as people are dying in occupied Palestine, wherein he is trying to appease both pro-Palestinian and Zionist Americans by offering two different narratives on what is going on in light of the war on Gaza.
The Biden administration is sending out two entirely different copies of official White House correspondence to US citizens whose focus could not be more different, according to NBC News.
Reportedly, one underlining the democrat's support for the Israeli occupation against the "pure evil" of the Palestinian Resistance, even going as far as to draw parallels between October 7, the start of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, and the Holocaust.
The letter goes on to promise the Israeli occupation more unwavering support and vows to prioritize the return of the captives taken by the Resistance while evoking strong emotions as it claims that October 7 "resurfaced horrible memories" with the Israeli settlers "liv[ing] through a moment of pure evil" in the "deadliest day for Jews since the Holocaust."
"The United States stands with Israel," the letter, drafted by the White House and auto-signed with Biden's name, read. "We will continue to ensure that Israel has what it needs to defend itself against terrorism in accordance with international humanitarian law. I will bring all resources to bear to secure the release of hostages held by Hamas — including our fellow Americans."
IOF are okay, Hamas not so much
The other, meanwhile, does not really touch on the talking points of the first letter; it calls on the pro-Palestinian people to "condemn terrorism" when they see it, stressing that "Hamas does not represent the Palestinian people. It does not stand for the dignity of Palestinians. We mourn the many innocent Palestinians who have been killed."
"The United States stands unequivocally for the protection of civilians during conflict, and we will do everything possible to prevent the conflict from spreading across the region," Biden adds in his letter sent to pro-Palestinians.
Despite the letter sent out to the Zionists underlining that the Palestinian Resistance would be held accountable for the killing of "innocent civilians", there was no vowing to hold the Israeli occupation forces accountable for their genocide of innocent Palestinians, including thousands of children and women.
"All countries must uphold international humanitarian law," Biden underlined, but perhaps because "Israel" is not a country, his administration is not attempting to force it into complying with international law.
To give Biden the benefit of the doubt, there are some sentiments in common between the two letters, such as the pledge to protect civilians, which does not seem to apply to Gaza, as well as working to realize a "two-state solution" and calling the Hamas Resistance movement a "terrorist organization".
Stark divergence
The issue of the letters being different was addressed by a White House official who spoke on the condition of anonymity, saying, "Anyone who reads the different views we are seeing in the mail would see that these letters need two separate responses."
This highlights that Biden, as people die in a US-backed war across the globe, only cares about political points and his clout and acts in a two-faced manner only to serve his political interests and hike his ranking in the poll numbers.
At times, on particularly controversial issues, the White House will draft different versions of a letter to accentuate the President's agreement with one side or play down his disagreement with the other side, said one person who worked in the correspondence office in a prior administration, as quoted by the NBC.
"We generally erred in the direction of saying less to everyone in order to be saying the same thing to everyone," the former official said.
Biden's attempts to appease everyone did not stop at the main talking points of the two letters; they go on to be shown quite clearly in the conclusion, too, wherein he underlines that under his administration, the US would "combat Islamophobia, antisemitism, and all forms of hate" in the letter sent out to pro-Palestinians, while the words "Islamophobia" and "antisemitism" are flipped in the one sent out to the Zionists. "[T]he United States will continue to combat antisemitism, Islamophobia, and all forms of hate."
Finally, he fervently ends his letter to the Zionists by saying, "We will continue to reject terrorism and its indiscriminate evil, just as we have always done. That is what America stands for" in what seems to be a call for action through words that evoke violence and seek to radicalize one party against another.
Meanwhile, the letter to the pro-Palestinians seems to attempt to pacify them and evoke melancholic emotions by saying, "We will continue to hold in our hearts all the families across our county and around the world who are mourning the loss of a loved one — a piece of their souls — to this tragedy."
Campaign of lies
According to a new Reuters/Ipsos survey, popular support in the United States for "Israel's" war on Gaza, under the guise of fighting Hamas, is weakening, and most Americans believe "Israel" needs to implement a ceasefire.
A total of 1,006 American adults participated in the countrywide online poll, and only 32% of respondents in the two-day opinion survey answered "the US should support Israel," when asked about the US role in the matter.
This is in stark comparison to an October survey where 41% believed the US should support the occupation.
However, the fact that the public isn’t buying "Israel’s" campaign of lies does not count for much, as foreign policy is the job of elites, and Biden, side by side with the US Congress, stands firmly behind the Israeli occupation promising "unwavering" support.
When the Israeli occupation was preparing for its invasion of Al-Shifa Medical complex, home to thousands of patients and refugees who were fleeing the Israeli onslaught, there was a propaganda blitz like no other, one that was vehemently debunked due to the ease of its debunking because it was too obviously fake.
Of course, despite all the debunking, Biden comes to the rescue yet falls into the trap of his own words as he claimed that “Israel” was cautious in its invasion of Al-Shifa Hospital compared to its previous actions, saying, “So, this is a different story than I believe was occurring before, an indiscriminate bombing.”
Biden blatantly and overtly confessed to indiscriminate bombing - constituting a war crime. Clearly, if neither Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu nor Biden are taken to the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity, Biden has already given sufficient claim of crimes against humanity through his words.
It is not only Biden, but the American media is also an accomplice to the genocide in Gaza. As confirmed by HuffPost, news outlets like CNN are known for airing IOF videos disseminating false information such as the calendar video.
