Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger bashed “Israel”, saying the US should stop assisting “Israel” "unless it supplies arms to Ukraine in the fight against the Russian invasion."
Kinzinger slammed “Israel” after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky asked members of “Israel's Knesset” (parliament), on Sunday, to provide him with the Iron Dome system to defend himself against Russian military missiles.
"If we don't want to attack Russia directly, then our leverage is for the world to be united in sanctions and helping the Ukrainian people," he added.
"That includes everyone, and Israel doesn't have a special exemption for that. I hope they do the right thing," he stated.
Kinzinger, the first Republican congressman to propose such a proposal, sparked outrage among conservatives, who argued that suspending aid to “Israel” would be unjustifiable.
It is worth mentioning that the Israeli foreign minister condemned the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, but Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett did not.
Some analysts concluded that “Israel” was reluctant to oppose the Russian military operation in Ukraine because of its economic and military relations with Moscow.
Simultaneously, Israeli media has lately highlighted that “Israel” is being cautious in its statements about the situation in Ukraine so as not to provoke a dispute with Russia.
Israeli circles are monitoring the developments between Russia and Ukraine, amid an Israeli assumption that any military battle may have strategic consequences on “Israel”.
