Resistance forces confront Israeli forces near al-Shifa Hospital
The Israeli occupation forces are being met with fierce resistance near and around the al-Shifa Medical Complex as the occupation's brutality takes to new heights.
The al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement (PIJ), said Friday that its fighters fired a barrage of mortar shells at a gathering of Israeli occupation forces near the al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City.
The Resistance faction said in a statement that its fighters sniped an Israeli soldier near al-Shifa Medical Complex, west of Gaza City.
In cooperation with the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the al-Quds Brigades bombarded the "Be'eri" settlement with numerous rockets.
The PIJ's military wing said that its fighters engaged an Israeli vehicle with an RPG shell near the al-Shifa Medical Complex.
For its part, the Mujahideen Brigades announced that an Israeli military vehicle was struck with an RPG shell near the al-Shifa Medical Complex, as well.
The al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades, the military wing of the Popular Resistance Committees in Palestine, published footage showing its soldiers shelling with heavy mortar shells Israeli assembly points and vehicles west of Gaza City.

The footage shows one of the fighters firing 120mm mortar shells as drones can be clearly heard buzzing overhead.
Moreover, the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades confirmed that its fighters engaged in fierce confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces using machine guns and RPGs in the fighting axis in the al-Qarara area, north of Khan Younis.
Al-Shifa under fierce attack
The ongoing confrontations around the al-Shifa Medical Complex come amid increasing Israeli brutality within the premises as it detains and kills patients and medical staff.
The Government Media Office in Gaza reported Thursday that the Israeli occupation forces deliberately killed 13 patients in the al-Shifa Medical Complex and prevented them from receiving medicine and medical solutions.
The World Health Organization said that access to the al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza was now impossible, noting that there are reports of medical staff being arrested inside.
The organization called on "Israel" to "open more crossings and expedite the entry of food and medical aid to all parts of the Gaza Strip."
For his part, the Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) Philippe Lazzarini said that "blockade, hunger, and disease will soon become the main killer in Gaza."
Lazzarini added that "it is still possible to avoid this artificially-created catastrophic level of hunger by flooding Gaza with food and life-saving aid if there is the political will."
The UNRWA Commissioner-General stressed that "food should not be used as a weapon of war in Gaza," explaining that "this famine is man-made."
