Al-Mayadeen's correspondent in Baghdad reported on Saturday the targeting of US occupation forces at the al-Malikiyah bases and the Qunaytirah oilfield, northeast of Syria. He further noted that US forces at the al-Omar oilfield base in the countryside of Deir Ezzor were targeted.

Earlier this week on Monday, Al-Mayadeen sources reported several explosions inside the US occupation base in the city of al-Shaddadi, south of Hasakah in Syria.

Al-Mayadeen was later informed through sources that the base was effectively targeted. As per reliable sources, "a group of US forces at the al-Shaddadi base (south of the city of Hasakah in Syria) in partnership with Syrian militants, found a missile launch platform during a sweep around the base one day after the Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced the targeting of the al-Shaddadi base with a salvo of missiles that reached their targets."

The sources stated that it is likely that the explosion sounds were the result of "a drone affiliated with the factions of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq targeting the base with several missiles."

Iraqi Resistance: Enemy to see blows until Palestine's liberation

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq has repeatedly emphasized that US bases in Syria and Iraq are legitimate targets for them due to the crucial role and support of the US for "Israel" in its war on Gaza.

The Brigades said in a statement in November, that the legendary steadfastness of the Palestinian people "in the face of the brutality of the Zionists, supported by the latest American military and intelligence machines, in addition to the support of England, France, and other Western countries, would not have been possible without their patience and belief in the necessity of regaining their rights stolen from the usurping entity."

The statement also touched on the US involvement in the deprivation of the Palestinian people of their rights and freedom while also supporting the aggression against them, including but not limited to the besieging of cities, cutting off water, food, and medicine, the destruction of buildings, displacing civilians, storming and bombing mosques and hospitals, and killing women and children.
