Sayyed Khamenei: Sayyed Safieddine's courage removed Zionist threat
The leader described Sayyed Safieddine as a "courageous, selfless" fighter, adding another "radiant star" to the journey to the Holy al-Quds.
The Leader of the Revolution and the Islamic Republic of Iran, Sayyed Ali Khamenei has conveyed a message of condolence following the martyrdom of Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, the head of Hezbollah's Executive Council.
Hezbollah announced on Wednesday the martyrdom of Sayyed Safieddine in an Israeli airstrike that took place days ago. Safieddine, a key figure in the Lebanese Resistance, was killed alongside several of his fellow fighters, in what the Resistance condemned as a "criminal and aggressive Zionist airstrike."
Sayyed Khamenei described Sayyed Safieddine as a "courageous, selfless" fighter, adding another "radiant star" to the journey to the Holy al-Quds.
Sayyed Khamenei described how the "planning and courage" of leaders of the resistance like Safieddine made Hezbollah capable of protecting Lebanon from being "broken up and collapsing" by eliminating the threat of the Zionist entity whose tyrannical, merciless army would at times trample everything into Beirut.
"Martyr Safieddine's courage and sacrifice, along with that of other mujahideen of the Nasrallah axis, removed the threat of the occupation of south of Litani, Tyre, and other cities in that region," Sayyed emphasized.
'Lebanese Resistance strongest shield against Israeli ambitions'
Ayatollah Khamenei continued by explaining that the Lebanese Resistance is the strongest defender of Lebanon and the "strongest shield" that confronts the ambitions of the Zionist entity, which has for long sought to divide the country.
"Today, while leaders like Nasrallah and Safieddine may not appear to be present in this world, their spirit and leadership are actively present on the field defending Lebanon and its defenseless people."
He cautioned that despite the Israeli occupation attempting to deny Hezbollah's sacrifices for Lebanon, those who are careful should not allow such false claims to reach them.
Sayyed Khamenei concluded by vowing that the Islamic Republic will "continue, as always, to support the fighters of Al-Quds, and the resistance against the occupation of Palestine by the Israeli gang, God willing."
We are fighting both a physical, psychological war: Sayyed Khamenei
Sayyed Ali Khamenei had earlier said that "the war today is multifaceted."
During his meeting with officials from a conference commemorating martyrs of Kermanshah on Thursday, Sayyed Khamenei highlighted that "in those days, the enemy's war was a visible war, but today it is a combined war; it is both a physical war and a psychological war."

In those days, both the young men of Kermanshah and other Iranian youth rose up against their adversaries and many became martyrs, he noted, "Nearly ten thousand individuals from Kermanshah province made the ultimate sacrifice in these conflicts," referring to the Iran-Iraq War.
On Wednesday, Sayyed Khamenei confirmed during a meeting with the organizers of the Congress for the Commemoration of the 15,000 martyrs of Iran's Fars Province in Tehran, that “the Resistance Front is standing firmly before that front of evil. With God’s grace, the Resistance Front will be the victors."
He emphasized the inability of the Israeli regime to dismantle the Resistance Front despite killing over 50,000 innocent civilians, implying that Western culture and politicians suffered an even worse setback.
Sayyed Khamenei emphasized that the current events in Gaza, Lebanon, and the West Bank are historic, adding, "If there were no people like martyr [Yahya] Sinwar who would fight until the last moment, or if there were no great people like martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah who combined Jihad, wisdom, courage, and sacrifice to bring them to the field, the fate of the region would have been determined in a different way."
