The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, received the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Hezbollah's Media Relations Office announced on Saturday morning.

Iran's Foreign Minister led a diplomatic delegation that engaged in discussions with Sayyed Nasrallah, in the presence of the Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani.

The parties discussed the latest regional political and security-related developments, especially in relation to the Gaza Strip and South Lebanon, as well as the fronts of the Axis of Resistance. They also discussed the imminent trajectory of the prevailing circumstances in Lebanon and the broader regional context.

During the meeting, Sayyed Nasrallah underlined Iranian Leader  Sayyed Ali Khamenei's thoughtful, cautious, and forthright positions regarding the developments in Gaza and the West Bank, saying that he stands out as unparalleled among global leaders.

The Secretary-General of Hezbollah underscored the significant capabilities of Resistance factions and their synchronized efforts in backing Palestine and Gaza. He stated that the "Zionist enemy" is currently entangled in a "strategic crisis" having failed to accomplish any of its objectives on the battlefield.

Referring to resistance as a crucial factor in regional dynamics,  Sayyed Nasrallah affirmed his assurance that the ultimate victory belongs to the Palestinian people and the Resistance.

On his account, Amir-Abdollahian provided further details on Iran's diplomatic endeavors to assist Palestine, showcased in Iran's active work in international institutions to prioritize the rights of the Palestinian people.

Highlighting the recognition of the Resistance as a key participant in political solutions, he underscored the significant role and standing of the resistance in Palestine and the region.

The Iranian minister also emphasized that any political peace initiative for Gaza should honor the role of the Palestinian people and foster consensus among Palestinian leaders and factions.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian also held a meeting with Lebanon's caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, during which he affirmed Iran's unwavering support for Lebanon's security and stability.

The top diplomat pointed to certain individuals who have tried to sow discord between the Lebanese government, its people, and the Resistance, however, he stressed that their attempts have been futile.

Expressing appreciation for Lebanon's supportive stance towards Palestine and the Palestinian Resistance, the Iranian Foreign Minister said that US attacks on Yemen worsen the regional crisis, revealing the inconsistency in US claims of seeking de-escalation and limiting the scope of war.

Amir-Abdollahian noted that the United States has not reduced its arms shipments to "Israel" in the slightest.

"The developments in Gaza are moving towards a political resolution, but Netanyahu eyes prolonging the war to save himself," he added.

In response, Mikati acknowledged the complexity of the regional situation and emphasized the need to persist in efforts for a ceasefire in Gaza. He further reiterated that Lebanon seeks peace and stability in the region.

Iranian delegation meets with Palestinian Resistance leaders

Earlier, the top Iranian diplomat met with leaders of the Palestinian Resistance factions in Lebanon in the Lebanese capital of Beirut. The Palestinian delegation included the Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), Ziyad al-Nakhalah, a member of Hamas' Political Bureau and chief of foreign relations, Osama Hamdan, and the Deputy Secretary General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), Jameel Mizhir.

The meeting was also attended by Mehdi Shushtari, the Assistant Iranian Foreign Minister for West Asia and North Africa Affairs, and Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Mojtaba Amani.

Sources told Al Mayadeen that at the beginning of the meeting, al-Nakhalah provided insights into the current situation in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the resilience of the resistance and the Palestinian people. He affirmed that "signs of victory are emerging on the horizon, stemming from this steadfastness."

According to sources, al-Nakhalah pointed out that "time is in favor of the resistance," while highlighting that the Israeli enemy is facing internal and international pressure, failing to achieve any of its objectives.

Al-Nakhalah expressed gratitude for "Iran and the Axis of Resistance's role in Operation al-Aqsa Flood," emphasizing the importance of Palestinian unity to achieve the highest possible accomplishments in this battle.

He also underlined that it was necessary to be prepared for the post-victory phase, which he said would include addressing the problems faced by the people of Gaza as a consequence of the war.
