Syria: Israeli aggression on Quneitra Countryside
Al Mayadeen sources confirm that Israeli helicopters and reconnaissance aircraft are flying intensively over the occupied Golan following the attack.
Today, Wednesday, Al Mayadeen correspondent reported that a fire broke out in the village of Al-Hurriya in the northern countryside of Quneitra, following an Israeli attack with missiles and artillery shells.
Al Mayadeen sources confirmed that Israeli helicopters and reconnaissance aircraft are flying over the occupied Golan near the disengagement area, after an artillery attack on the border outpost located on the Syrian side of the border.
At the end of last month, the Syrian air defenses intercepted an Israeli missile aggression.
"At around 03:21 AM, the Israeli enemy carried out an aerial aggression with several missiles from the direction of the Mediterranean... targeting the container yard in Latakia port," SANA cited a military source as saying.
The strike caused "significant material damage" and fires, the Agency added.
Moreover, a large number of houses and a private hospital on the western corniche adjacent to the Port were damaged as a result of the explosions.
That was the second Israeli aggression in one month on the city of Latakia, Syria. On December 7, a similar attack on the city’s port was intercepted.
It is noteworthy that Syria has repeatedly called on the UN Security Council and the United Nations to condemn the repetitive Israeli aggressions against it, demanding firm measures to prevent their recurrence.
