Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal al-Miqdad met with Major General Nirmal Kumar Thapa, the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) commander, in the occupied Golan Heights. This meeting occurred amidst ongoing Israeli violations of the 'Israel'-Syria Disengagement Agreement (1974).

This comes shortly after Israeli artillery shells targeted al-Yarmouk Valley in the western countryside of Daraa on Tuesday night.

On Monday, Israeli occupation fighter jets launched airstrikes against the Syrian capital of Damascus from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan Heights.

At the time, the Israeli aggression targeted several points south of Damascus resulting in the martyrdom and injury of several individuals and injuries to civilians, in addition to material losses.
