A Lebanese citizen was martyred and two Syrians were injured on Thursday following an Israeli strike in southern Lebanon, Al Mayadeen’s correspondent has confirmed. The Israeli occupation forces targeted a pickup truck traveling on the road between Mays al-Jabal and Blida.
According to field reports, an Israeli airstrike directly hit the pickup truck, resulting in the martyrdom of the Lebanese victim and injuring two Syrian nationals who were with him. The strike occurred on a frequently targeted road in the southern border region.

In another attack, an Israeli drone targeted a motorcycle near the Mays al-Jabal reservoir. Meanwhile, Lebanon’s Ministry of Health confirmed that a Lebanese civilian was killed and another wounded in the second Israeli airstrike on the town of Mays al-Jabal in southern Lebanon.
Israeli drone activity reported over Beirut and Bekaa
In a similar vein, the National News Agency reported that Israeli warplanes violated the airspace over the city of Hermel and multiple villages in the northern Bekaa region. Additionally, an Israeli drone was observed flying at low altitude over Beirut and its Southern Suburb throughout Thursday morning.
The strikes and increased drone activity reflect ongoing Israeli violations of the ceasefire along Lebanon’s southern border. Residents continue to report frequent overflights and surveillance, raising fears of a broader confrontation as Israeli occupation forces expand operations across Lebanese airspace.
Regarding Lebanon, the spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General, Stéphane Dujarric, expressed on Tuesday that the UN was following the events in Lebanon with concern, including the raids that targeted Beirut's Southern Suburb.
Dujarric called on all parties to exercise maximum restraint and refrain from any activities that endanger civilians, adding that the UN Coordinator for Lebanon continues her contacts to reduce tensions, reiterating the need to respect Resolution 1701.
The Israeli occupation targeted a hangar last Sunday, located in the al-Jamous area of Beirut's Southern Suburb, in a blatant violation of Lebanese sovereignty.
The targeted warehouse lies at the heart of a densely populated residential and vital area, adjacent to two schools and surrounded by residential buildings.
Warplanes struck the threatened site with three bombs, following three so-called "warning strikes", preliminary strikes with small payload missiles, carried out earlier by drones.
