Two US occupation military bases in Syria were targeted on early Thursday after months of relative calm, sources told Al Mayadeen.

Three drones targeted the US-led Coalition occupation base in al-Tanf in Syria, which is located on the Iraq-Syrian border, the sources added, noting that the UAVs were able to fly over the base before striking it.

There are no reports so far about the damages and casualties.

Meanwhile, the Conoco American occupation base in Deir Ezzor's countryside was struck with two missiles, the sources continued, also noting that no information regarding damage has been revealed so far.

US forces are currently on high alert at both sites.

Later in the day, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq claimed responsibility for the attack on the Conoco gas field northeast of Deir Ezzor.

Joining in the battle

Today's operations come just one day after US defense officials revealed that drones targeted two separate bases, Ain al-Asad air base in north Iraq and al-Harir air base in Iraqi Kurdistan, causing "minor injuries" to Coalition forces at one of the sites.

Resistance forces across the region have been taking increased measures against Israeli occupation forces due to their ongoing massacres in Gaza, the most tragic of which was the attack on the Baptist al-Ahli Hospital, which led to 450 martyrs at least.

Since day one of the launch of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood in response to the Israeli crimes against Palestinians and their holy sites, US President Biden announced "unwavering" support to the entity and immediately signed off on increased military assistance delivered on a daily basis.

This measure is a public admission of complicity in all Israeli crimes against civilians in Gaza, which has so far resulted in the martyrdom of at least 3,500 civilians, most of whom are children, women, and the elderly.

Iraqi factions had previously pledged that they "will not stand idly by in the face of the ongoing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza."

A spokesperson of Iraqi Kataib Hezbollah declared on Wednesday that the Iraqi Resistance has officially joined in the battle in support of Palestine and its Resistance, announcing that the group carried out its first strikes on US bases.

Jaafar al-Husseini told Al Mayadeen that the Iraqi Resistance was responsible for the operations targeting Ain al-Asad and al-Harir bases, vowing more to come with higher intensity.

With this declaration, the military spokesperson announced that the Iraqi Resistance has joined in the battle as of today and vowed to continue directing its strikes toward US bases.

Touching on Biden's statements, al-Husseini pointed out that the United States is an essential partner in the killing of the children of Gaza and must, therefore, bear the consequences.

Meanwhile, Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces chief Faleh al-Fayyad said in an interview for Al Mayadeen on Saturday that Iraq will carry out "all duties toward the Palestinians, at the level of aid or military-wise."
