The White House, while admitting that the Israeli occupation killed civilians in Gaza's Nuseirat camp, says they are merely "concerned" about civilian deaths.

White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan has acknowledged the occurrence of civilian casualties in the Gaza Strip following the operation that saw the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) retrieving four of their captives at the expense of 274 Palestinian lives on Saturday.

Speaking on ABC News on Sunday, Sullivan swiftly blamed the murder of civilians at the hands of the IOF on Hamas.

"Well, of course, the Israeli [...] Forces have put out one number, the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry has put out another number. We're looking into it ... But we do know this .... civilians were killed," Sullivan said when asked to confirm reports of over 200 civilian deaths.

That is all, however. Sullivan stuck to simply voicing "concern" over the murder of countless civilians.

"The Palestinian people are going through hell in this war," he stated before going on to echo once again the claim of Hamas using human shields in Gaza.

Hamas announces reaching an agreement for ceasefire in Gaza

"Any time civilians are killed, we're concerned. Of course, we are. That's why we want this war to end. The only way to get all of the hostages out and to end any more civilian casualties in Gaza is to get to a comprehensive ceasefire and hostage agreement," he asserted, once again dismissing the IOF's war crimes.

Now the White House cares?

While the White House only voiced "concern" about the massacre, this is a step up from what President Joe Biden offered on Saturday.

Following "Israel's" assault on the Nuseirat refugee camp on Saturday, Biden not only did not condemn the aggression but on the contrary, celebrated the retrieval of four Israeli captives.

Congratulating the Israeli families for the release of the captives with French President Emmanuel Macron, Biden stated that the US "won't stop working until all the hostages are home and a ceasefire is reached. That's essential to happen."

Heartbreaking videos were shared on social media depicting dozens of martyrs, including children, killed by the Israeli indiscriminate bombing of the Nuseirat Refugee camp. Many of the martyrs have been turned into pieces scattered across the streets of the camp.

The Israeli occupation forces launched on Saturday numerous airstrikes on the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, Al Mayadeen correspondent reported, adding that the intense bombardment resulted in dozens of casualties, with many martyrs and injured being brought to al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.

According to the correspondent, dozens of Israeli rockets targeted civilian homes in Nuseirat camp. Many women and children are among the casualties being transported to the al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital using animal-drawn carts and private vehicles due to the dire circumstances of the healthcare system.

According to Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Gaza, an Israeli special force had infiltrated Nuseirat Camp. Upon the force's discovery by the Resistance, heavy confrontations ensued. According to our correspondent, it was the discovery of the force that led to this heavy Israeli shelling and the massacre in the camp.
