US-UK aggression on Hodeidah Radio and Sanaa kills 2, wounds several
Al Mayadeen correspondent reported that the total number of US-UK airstrikes reached 13, targeting areas in the capital, Sanaa, and the coastal governorate of Hodeidah.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, reported that US-UK airstrikes targeted several sites in multiple Yemeni provinces on Thursday night. The airstrikes included areas around the international airport in Sanaa, the al-Salif port, and the al-Hawak district south of Hodeidah city.
The correspondent confirmed that the total number of US-British airstrikes reached 13, with three targeting the al-Nahdin area and a fourth hitting the vicinity of Sanaa International Airport.
Additionally, the airstrike targeted the coastal area of Ghalifqa in the al-Durayhimi district, south of Hodeidah governorate.
Two martyrs and several injured in Hodeidah Radio attack
The director of Al Mayadeen's office in Yemen reported that initial information indicates injuries among journalists at Hodeidah Radio due to the recent airstrike.
Local sources stated that the US-UK aggression on the Hodeidah Radio headquarters in the al-Hawak district, on the Red Sea coast in western Yemen, resulted in two martyrs and several injuries.
The airstrike also targeted a communications network in the al-A'abus area of al-Hayfan district, south of Taiz governorate in southwestern Yemen, and two airstrikes hit the Jarban area in the Sanhan district south of the Sanaa province.
Al-Qahoum to Al Mayadeen: Yemeni strikes will continue and expand
In an interview with Al Mayadeen, Ali al-Qahoum, a member of the political bureau of the Ansar Allah movement, reiterated that the US-UK aggression on Yemen has been ongoing for years, not just recently.
Al-Qahoum affirmed, "Yemen's operations in the sea will continue until the siege is lifted and the aggression on Gaza ends, and they will not stop before that."
He added that "if the Americans want to avoid an expanded conflict, they must stop the aggression and siege on Gaza; otherwise, Yemeni strikes will continue and expand."
"Yemen will undoubtedly respond to the aggression, and the American and British forces will not be able to repel it, and it will certainly be a painful response," explaining that the Americans and British must "recognize the increasing power of Yemen and that our ballistic missiles will reach their targets in the sea and our occupied land," al-Qahoum continued.
'We advise neighboring countries not to get involved'
In this context, Al-Qahoum reiterated that Yemen "is open to peace with neighboring countries but will not hesitate to respond to any source of aggression," stressing that "Yemen will not submit, and the Americans and British are opening the gates of hell for themselves. We advise neighboring countries not to get involved again."
He concluded, "The battle with the Americans and British today is a battle of dignity and honor. Yemen possesses great capabilities for confrontation, and the aggressors must bear the response."
The airstrike on Yemen follows a speech by the leader of the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement, Sayyed Abdul-Malik-al-Houthi, where he affirmed that his forces would escalate their operations both in quantity and quality to pressure the occupation and reject the aggression on Rafah. He added that "there is no decline in our level of operations; rather, there is a decline in ship movements from both the American and British sides, and almost none from the Israeli side."
Sayyed al-Houthi also stated, "There are no factors that can affect Yemen's stance," and "the level of momentum or engagement in our operations against the occupation will not decline," revealing that Yemeni operations reached 12 in the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea, the Indian Ocean, and the Mediterranean Sea this week.
The aggression comes after Yemeni air defenses successfully shot down an American MQ-9 drone while it was conducting hostile missions in the skies of Marib, using a locally-made ground-to-air missile. This occurred just days after another MQ-9 drone was shot down in the skies over al-Bayda governorate.
