The United States’ recent airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities have triggered a surge of condemnations from across the Arab and Islamic world, with political movements and governments warning of the dangerous repercussions such actions could have on regional and global stability.

From Yemen and Iraq to Russia and China, statements described the strikes as a flagrant violation of international law and a reckless escalation in coordination with the Israeli occupation.

The Russian Foreign Ministry on Sunday strongly condemned the United States’ airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, denouncing them as a “reckless decision” that flagrantly violates Iran’s sovereignty and international legal norms.

In a sharply worded statement, Moscow asserted that the strikes “run counter to international law, the UN Charter, and relevant UN Security Council resolutions,” highlighting the gravity of the situation given Washington's status as a permanent member of the Security Council.

“The UN Security Council should naturally take action,” the Ministry declared. “The confrontational behavior of the US and Israel must be collectively rejected.”

Russia called for an immediate cessation of aggression and urged a return to diplomacy, warning that continued escalation could lead to a broader and destabilizing war in the region.

“We call for an end to aggression and urge efforts that will create conditions for a return to a political and diplomatic path,” the statement added.

Moscow also directed criticism toward the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), pressing its Director General, Rafael Grossi, to deliver a fully impartial and transparent account of the airstrikes at the emergency meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors scheduled for Monday.

Medvedev says Trump's peace mission ended as he joined war on Iran

US President Donald Trump, once elected on promises of avoiding foreign wars, has instead dragged the United States into a fresh military conflict with Iran, according to Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev.

In a statement posted on Telegram, Medvedev condemned the overnight US strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan. Trump claimed the attacks were necessary to constrain Tehran’s nuclear capabilities and pressure Iran to “end this war” or face worse consequences.

“Trump, who came in as a peacemaker president, has launched another war for the United States,” Medvedev said, adding sarcastically that Trump should not expect a Nobel Peace Prize. “With such successes, Trump will not win the Nobel Peace Prize, despite all the corrupted nature of this nomination.”

The Russian official went further, warning that several nations are now considering the direct provision of nuclear weapons to Iran in response to the US-Israeli aggression.

“What did the Americans achieve with their night strikes on three locations in Iran? ... A number of countries are ready to directly supply Iran with their nuclear weapons,” Medvedev said.

He added that most of the international community opposes the actions taken by the United States and "Israel".

Medvedev also predicted the strikes would not stop Iran’s nuclear efforts; instead, they might accelerate them.

“Enrichment of nuclear materials, and now we can say directly, and the future production of nuclear weapons, will continue,” he said, cautioning that the US is now “embroiled in a new conflict with a prospect of a ground operation.”

China slams US strikes on Iran

In a similar vein, Beijing issued a forceful rebuke on Sunday, saying it "strongly condemns" the United States for its strikes on Iranian nuclear sites, warning the move would only "escalate tensions in the Middle East." The condemnation came in a statement from China’s Foreign Ministry, just hours after US President Donald Trump confirmed airstrikes on three Iranian facilities.

The Ministry urged restraint from all parties involved, stating, “China calls on all parties to the conflict, especially Israel, to cease fire as soon as possible.”

President Xi Jinping, who had spoken with Russian President Vladimir Putin days earlier, emphasized that “a ceasefire between Iran and Israel is the top priority,” according to the Foreign Ministry.

Xi reiterated China’s stance against military aggression, saying, “Armed force is not the correct way to resolve international disputes.”

Ansar Allah: US aggression a threat to the entire region

Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement issued a strongly worded statement Sunday, denouncing the US airstrikes on Iran as a “brutal and cowardly aggression” against the Islamic Republic and its nuclear infrastructure.

The group described the attack as a “blatant violation of all international laws and conventions,” adding that it represented a “dangerous escalation” with implications for both regional and international peace and security.

Ansar Allah accused Washington of aligning itself with Israeli crimes, stating, “This aggression falls within the framework of America’s continued support for Zionist crimes against the Islamic Ummah.” The statement linked the strikes to the ongoing genocide in Gaza, arguing that the US has enabled "the Zionist enemy" to continue its campaign of mass killing against Palestinians with impunity.

Reaffirming Iran’s role as a steadfast supporter of the Palestinian Resistance and a frontline opponent of the Israeli occupation, Ansar Allah declared that the attack would not deter Iran from its “path of Jihad and liberation against American hegemony and its Israeli proxy.”

The group concluded by expressing full solidarity with Iran’s government, armed forces, and people, calling on Islamic nations to take a united stance. “The only viable path in the face of Zionist-American arrogance is united jihad and resistance,” the statement declared.

Yemeni gov. endorses YAF position

The government in Sanaa has reiterated its full support for the position taken by Yemen’s Armed Forces, who declared they are prepared to confront US military activity in the Red Sea in response to Washington’s aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In a statement released after the US launched airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites, Yemeni authorities emphasized, “We affirm the Republic of Yemen’s commitment to the armed forces’ declaration that they were ready to target US ships and warships in the Red Sea.”

Qatar warns of 'catastrophic consequences' after US strikes on Iran

Qatar has expressed grave concern over the rising tensions in the region following the recent US airstrikes targeting nuclear facilities in Iran, warning that the escalation could lead to catastrophic consequences both regionally and globally.

In an official statement posted on X, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it “deplores the deterioration of the situation” sparked by the US military action, adding that such developments pose a serious threat to regional and international stability.

“The ministry warns that the current dangerous escalation in the region may lead to catastrophic consequences at both the regional and international levels,” the statement read.

Qatar, which hosts the largest US military base in the Middle East at Al Udeid Air Base, also called on all involved parties to act with restraint and responsibility. “It calls on all parties to exercise wisdom, restraint, and to avoid further escalation,” the statement emphasized.

Egypt expresses deep concern over the escalation

Egypt’s Foreign Ministry on Sunday voiced serious alarm over the recent military developments. In an official statement, Cairo condemned what it described as a dangerous escalation that threatens both regional and international peace and stability.

The statement urged all parties to exercise restraint and refrain from measures that could further stoke tensions. Egypt emphasized the need for diplomatic dialogue and the urgent resumption of negotiations to calm the situation and prevent any unintended escalation.

Saudi Arabia voices deep concern over US strikes on Iranian nuclear sites

Saudi Arabia has expressed serious concern over the escalating tensions in the region following US airstrikes targeting Iranian nuclear facilities, calling for restraint and the pursuit of a political resolution to the situation.

In a statement issued by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Riyadh condemned the violation of Iran’s sovereignty and emphasized the urgent need to prevent further escalation.

“We condemn and strongly reject the violation of the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and stress the urgent need for restraint and de-escalation,” the Ministry stated.

The Kingdom urged the international community to intensify efforts to resolve the crisis through diplomatic means. “We urge the international community to step up its efforts during this highly sensitive time to reach a political resolution that can bring an end to the crisis,” the statement added.

Saudi authorities confirmed they are closely and seriously monitoring developments in the wake of the US attacks on Iranian nuclear sites.

Oman warns of dangerous escalation

The Sultanate of Oman has strongly condemned the recent US airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, warning that such actions pose a serious threat to regional stability and violate international legal norms.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, an official spokesperson expressed “deep concern and strong condemnation” over what was described as an illegal act of aggression targeting sovereign Iranian territory. The Ministry called for immediate and comprehensive de-escalation to prevent further deterioration of the crisis.

The statement warned that the US strikes risk expanding the scope of the war and constitute a grave breach of international law, specifically the principles enshrined in the United Nations Charter that prohibit the use of force and violations of national sovereignty.

Oman also reiterated its support for the Islamic Republic of Iran’s right to pursue peaceful nuclear development under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), in accordance with internationally recognized protocols and safeguards.

Additionally, the Ministry cited the Geneva Conventions, noting that attacks on nuclear facilities are explicitly prohibited due to the severe risks of contamination and radiation, which could endanger civilians and destabilize the region further.

Iraq says escalation endangers regional peace

The Iraqi government also condemned the US strikes, warning that the attack on Iranian nuclear facilities could destabilize the broader region. Government spokesperson Basim Alawadi stated on Sunday that Iraq “expresses its deep concern and strong condemnation of the targeting of nuclear facilities” in the Islamic Republic.

“This military escalation constitutes a grave threat to peace and security in the Middle East and poses serious risks to regional stability,” Alawadi said, urging restraint and renewed commitment to diplomacy.

Pakistan condemns US Strikes on Iran, warns of widening regional war

Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry on Sunday strongly condemned the United States’ military strikes on Iranian nuclear sites, warning that the escalation risks plunging the region into a broader and potentially uncontrollable war.

In an official statement, the Foreign Office expressed grave concern over the developments, urging an immediate end to aggression and calling for restraint from all parties.

“The United States' attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities, following a wave of Israeli strikes, are deeply alarming,” the Ministry said.

"Pakistan condemns the US attacks... We are gravely concerned at the possible further escalation of tensions in the region,” it added.

The statement followed hours after US President Donald Trump confirmed American involvement in airstrikes aimed at degrading Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. Trump also issued a warning to Tehran, stating that any retaliation would be met with additional strikes delivered with “precision, speed, and skill.”

Islamabad criticized the US actions as a violation of international law and a breach of global norms, emphasizing Iran’s inherent right to self-defense under the United Nations Charter.

“The unprecedented escalation of tension and violence, owing to ongoing aggression against Iran, is deeply disturbing,” the Ministry noted. “Any further escalation of tensions will have severely damaging implications for the region and beyond.”

Pakistan also underscored the need to safeguard civilian lives and property, calling on all sides to respect international law, particularly International Humanitarian Law. The Foreign Ministry reiterated that only diplomacy offers a sustainable way forward.

“Recourse to dialogue and diplomacy, in line with the principles and purposes of the UN Charter, remains the only viable pathway to resolve the crises in the region,” the statement concluded.

Dar slams 'double standards' on Israeli aggression

In a related development, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar delivered a scathing critique of the international community’s “double standards” regarding Israeli military actions, including its involvement in recent strikes on Iran.

Speaking at an emergency session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers in Istanbul, Dar called for a peaceful and just resolution to the nuclear dispute involving Tehran and condemned the ongoing Israeli aggression in the region.

He highlighted Pakistan’s consistent opposition to Israeli military campaigns, particularly in the wake of the ongoing genocide in Gaza that began on October 7, 2023, which has killed more than 55,000 people.

“Excellencies, double standards are on full display when it comes to Israel,” Dar said during the televised session. “There is no talk of the rule of law, the rules-based international order, or consequences for illegal actions. This impunity must end.”

He further described Israeli conduct as part of a “dangerous and consistent pattern of militarism” that is destabilizing the Middle East and threatening international peace.

“Israeli aggression represents a dangerous escalation and is a serious threat to peace and stability—not only of the region but of the wider world as well,” he warned.

Turkey warns of a regional war spiraling out of control

Turkey expressed deep concern over the potential global ramifications of the U.S. attacks. In a statement on Sunday, the Turkish Foreign Ministry warned that the strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites have significantly increased the risk of the regional war spiraling out of control.

“A spread of the conflict into a wider global war must not be allowed,” the Ministry stated, urging all parties to show restraint and “end attacks immediately.” The Ministry stressed that “only negotiations could resolve the nuclear dispute between Tehran and Washington.”

Palestinian factions urge unified response to US strikes on Iran

Palestinian Resistance factions have issued a unified condemnation of the recent US airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, calling the attacks a grave violation of Iranian sovereignty and a dangerous escalation aimed at advancing Israeli interests.

Hamas described the strikes as a reckless alignment with the Israeli occupation and a threat to global peace, reaffirming its full support for Iran’s leadership and people.

The Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement labeled the strikes a "declaration of war" and warned of the broader implications of what it called "a joint US-Zionist assault".

The Mujahideen Movement likened the attack to a “Nazi-style crime,” while the Popular Resistance Committees called it “an attack on the entire Ummah” intended to suppress regional Resistance.

The Palestinian al-Ahrar Movement echoed similar sentiments, denouncing the US strikes as a ruthless act of aggression that exposes Washington's imperial posture and total subservience to Israeli dictates.

Across all statements, the factions stressed the urgent need for a unified Arab and Islamic response to counter what they see as an intensifying campaign to dismantle the strategic capabilities of the region and silence opposition to US and Israeli hegemony.

The wave of denunciations reflects growing alarm among regional actors over the potential for a full-blown regional war, especially after the US attack on Iran.
