Innocent civilians and security forces have been martyred with the West doing its utmost to produce turmoil, although unsuccessfully, in Iran.

In a Sunday parliament meeting in Tehran, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf pointed fingers at the West and its affiliates - such as Mossad and the CIA - for seeking to turn protests into riots and a new Daesh (ISIS) arena.

The recent riots have led to the martyrdom of some security forces with the West doing its utmost to produce turmoil, although unsuccessfully, in Iran.

Ghalibaf stated that the country's enemies could not infiltrate Iran from border areas due to the efforts and sacrifice of Martyr General Qassem Soleimani, as he expressed regret knowing that certain cultural, sports, and political figures back the terrorist attempts.

He added that as ISIS members kill and torture civilians without reason, previously seen in Syria and Iraq, and boast of their crimes with pride, intelligent authority is a requirement in hybrid warfare for the security of the Iranian people. Ghalibaf showed his hope for the return of the security situation to normal, giving leverage to changes in economic, social, and political arenas conforming with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In the same context, speaking to a group of students in Tehran on Saturday, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said, “Riots and the attempts to create chaos in the country are different from protests. The riots and those creating insecurity should be definitely countered,” adding that the US and other enemies’ failed attempts to foment insecurity in Iran are similar to the conspiracies these enemies carried out against both Libya and Syria.

The President noted that the students need to familiarize themselves with their country’s progress even under the pressures and sanctions, adding that Iran’s resolve to get stronger is what led the enemy to look for new plots. Furthermore, Raisi blatantly stated during a speech on the National Day against Global Arrogance on Friday, "The United States, supports ISIS and terrorist groups, then portrays itself as a protector of human rights."

Just last week in his weekly press conference in Tehran, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani slammed Western countries, including Canada, for their provocative measures that contributed to the rise in tensions and riots in Iran.

Foreign ministers of Western countries were slammed by Kanaani for their interference and unconstructive, irresponsible acts as he emphasized that they did not permit any leeway for peaceful criticism to be heard - by exploiting the excuse of democracy to ignite riots in Iran.
