The Saudi-led coalition launches 53 raids in Shabwa
Saudi-led coalition warplanes launched 53 air raids on the governorates of Shabwa, Marib, Al-Bayda, and Saada during the past hours and two raids on the Kitaf District bordering Najran, east of Saada Governorate, north Yemen.
Confrontations are ongoing between the Yemeni Army and Popular Committees, on the one hand, and the coalition forces in Shabwa, eastern Yemen, on the other, and are concentrated in the districts of Bayhan and Ain.
The Prime Minister of the Sanaa government, Abdul Aziz bin Habtoor, said the forces of the Saudi aggression and mercenaries are trying to drag the battles to the areas where the oil companies are located in the province, despite the efforts of the Army and Popular Committees to keep them at a distance.
On the western coast, a Yemeni military source monitored 91 violations by the Saudi-led coalition forces on the fronts of Al-Hudaydah, west of Yemen, including the creation of fortifications in the mountainous terrain and the flight of a warplane and 6 spy planes over mountainous areas.
The Saudi-led coalition threatened to target the roads leading from the Marib and Al-Bayda governorates to the districts of Harib, Ain, Bayhan, and Usaylan, urging Yemeni citizens not to use those roads.
A local Yemeni source reported that the Saudi-led coalition bombarded separate areas in the Shada border district with missile and artillery shelling.
Yemeni Armed Forces Spokesperson, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, said on Thursday that “Yemeni Armed Forces repelled the encroachment of UAE mercenaries and ISIS towards the Ain district of Shabwa Governorate, as well as Harib District in Marib Governorate, which lasted for several hours without achieving any progress despite the intense air cover.”
On Wednesday, Saree announced repelling a huge advance by UAE and ISIS mercenaries toward Shabwa and Marib governorates.
Saree indicated that the mercenaries' advance lasted for several hours but failed to achieve any progress despite the intense air cover it received.
The Brigadier General confirmed that the UAE and ISIS mercenaries were targeted by two ballistic missiles, which led to a huge number of deaths and injuries, and ambulances were seen rushing to transport them after the successful strike.
