Yemeni Forces 4 Km away from Marib Capital
Violent battles are taking place between the Yemeni Army and Popular Committees and the Saudi-led coalition in the southern region of al-Hudaydah and the frontline between al-Juba and Wadi Abida.
Violent battles took place between the Yemeni Army and Popular Committees and the Saudi-led coalition forces in Hays, al-Hudaydah.
The confrontations are concentrated on the frontline between al-Jub and Wadi Abida, Al Mayadeen correspondent reported.
"The Saudi-led coalition's aircraft targeted the Jabal `Iraf mountain chain, the last mountain chain of al-Juba District toward Marib, the capital," a source told Al Mayadeen.
The same source estimated that the Yemeni armed forces are only about 3-4 km away from the Falaj checkpoint, the southern entrance to the capital of Marib Governorate.
Ten members of the Saudi-led coalition forces have died over the past 10 hours, including a high-ranking colonel, and many others were wounded in the southern region of al-Hudaydah.
Life has gone back to normal in the areas and cities liberated from the Saudi-led coalition in the southern and eastern parts of al-Hudaydah.
The battles in Marib coincided with a surprise appearance by the chief of al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, who threatened that his group would continue fighting the Sanaa forces, which confirms a statement made by the Sanaa government that the group is fighting alongside the Saudi-led coalition.
Saudi-led coalition forces execute 10 prisoners
The Saudi-led coalition forces executed by firing squad 10 Yemeni Army and Popular Committees prisoners in Yemen.
The National Committee for Detainees Affairs in Sanaa condemned the Saudi-led coalition over the execution, which they described as "barbaric" and "aggressive".
The Committee called on the UN envoy for Yemen, the UN, and its agencies to condemn the crime and take appropriate action to bring the perpetrators to justice and protect all detainees and their rights.
