'Israel' carried out 26 airstrikes on Beirut in 24 hours
The Israeli occupation's aggression is raging on in Lebanon, with dozens of airstrikes targeting numerous civilian infrastructure and healthcare facilities.
The Israeli occupation continues to intensify its wide-scale aggression on Lebanon, targeting villages and towns in the South, the Bekaa region, and the Southern Suburb of Beirut.
In its latest wave of Israeli strikes, the Southern Suburb of Beirut was hit by a series of violent air raids, which resumed early Tuesday. An Al Mayadeen correspondent reported that more than 26 airstrikes have targeted the area in the last 24 hours alone.
The Israeli occupation forces also continued targeting rescue teams and civil defense workers, attempting to prevent them from reaching the affected areas. Reports indicate that civil defense and ambulance vehicles are unable to enter the Southern Suburb due to the intense Israeli bombardment there.
In one devastating attack, fires broke out following a strike on the Tahwitat al-Ghadir area after airstrikes targeted fuel tanks. Flames continued to rage in the aftermath of the air raid.
Simultaneously, Israeli artillery shelled the heights of Jabal al-Saddaneh on the outskirts of al-Arqoub in southern Lebanon, one Al Mayadeen correspondent reported.
Artillery fire also struck Alma al-Shaab and Naqoura, while Israeli warplanes targeted the city of Tyre near Hiram Hospital and the city of Nabatiyeh. Additionally, a drone strike destroyed a motorcycle in the southern town of Ramadiyah. Other towns, including Yater, Khiam, and Tafahtha, were also hit by Israeli airstrikes.
In the Bekaa region, Israeli warplanes bombed several towns in both western and eastern Bekaa, resulting in numerous civilian casualties. A massacre was reported in the town of al-Khader in the northern Bekaa. Two women and a child were among the five martyred in the attack.
The humanitarian situation is dire, particularly with the repeated targeting of Lebanon's health infrastructure. The World Health Organization (WHO) has confirmed 36 attacks on healthcare facilities in Lebanon since the onset of October.
The Israeli aggression, ongoing since October 8, 2023, has taken a devastating toll on Lebanon. According to the latest statistics from the Lebanese Ministry of Health, the death toll has risen to 2,083, with 9,869 people injured.
'Israel's' terror continues
On Monday, the Israeli occupation launched an airstrike targeting the area between al-Laylaki and al-Mrayjeh in Beirut's Southern Suburb, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported.
This followed the 30 air raids the occupation launched on the Southern Suburb of Beirut throughout the night.
According to Al Mayadeen's correspondent, some airstrikes deliberately targeted a gas station and medical equipment warehouses. As a result, massive explosions were seen and felt as flames erupted amid the impact.
The areas aggressed included: al-Mrayjeh, al-Laylaki, Tahwitat al-Ghadeer, Burj el-Barajneh, Haret Hreik, and the vicinity of Beirut International Airport.
Moreover, in one of the deadliest massacres in recent days, an Israeli raid on Baraachit killed 10 firefighters who were responding to earlier strikes in the area, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
Similarly, at noon Saturday, an Israeli drone struck an area where Civil Defense and rescue operations attempted to lift the rubble following the intense aggression on al-Mrayjeh, forcing the crews to withdraw from the site immediately, as "Israel" stretches its tactics of obstructing rescue efforts.
