3 martyrs in Israeli drone strike on a car near Jenin
An Israeli drone strike targets 3 Resistance fighters to the northeast of Jenin near the Jalama checkpoint, marking an escalation as such an event has not occurred since 2005.
Three Resistance fighters were martyred after an Israeli drone strike targeted them in a car near Jenin, as gunshots were heard in the vicinity, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported on Wednesday.
In a statement, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, announced the names of the three martyred fighters:
Suhaib Adnan Al-Ghoul, 27, a formation leader in Al-Quds Brigades - Jenin Brigade.
Mohammad Bashar Oueis, 28, a leader in Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades.
Ashraf Murad Al-Saadi, 17, a fighter in Al-Quds Brigades - Jenin Brigade.
The Israeli occupation forces seized the bodies of the three martyrs who were assassinated near the Jalama checkpoint northeast of Jenin.
Israeli media outlets said that the Israeli Air Force carried out an aerial assassination operation in Jalama near Jenin, for the first time since 2005.

According to Israeli media, the Israeli drone targeted a civilian car carrying young men with a guided missile, claiming that "the targeted group has carried out several shooting operations in settlements in the West Bank."
Local sources revealed that the Israeli forces locked down the area and prevented ambulances from attempting to transport the casualties from the targeted site. At the same time, a fierce armed confrontation erupted near the bombing site.
Palestinian Resistance groups: This crime will not go unpunished
In turn, the Hamas movement stated that the occupying entity "committed a new crime against the Palestinian people by assassinating three sons of Jenin."
Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem indicated that the use of aircraft in the West Bank to assassinate resistance fighters is a "dangerous escalation."
He emphasized that "the assassination crime in Jenin will not pass without a response and punishment."
In this context, Al-Mujahideen Movement stated that the "cowardly Zionist assassination operation carried out by the treacherous drones is a cowardly act that will not go unpunished."
They emphasized that the "criminal methods of the enemy will not succeed in breaking the steadfastness of the resistance which is deeply rooted in the conscience of our people."
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) shared the revolutionary sentiment of the other Resistance factions saying that the Palestinian people will respond to the assassination in every city and village of the West Bank.
The PFLP confirmed that the response to the assassination will "ignite the land under the feet of the occupation's soldiers and settlers."
