The Israeli army has sustained its massacres across the Gaza Strip, killing dozens of Palestinians, including children and aid seekers, as talks are ongoing for a captive exchange after Hamas agreed to US President Donald Trump's ceasefire proposal.
Seventeen people were killed, including seven children, and more than forty others were wounded or deemed missing on Saturday after Israeli forces targeted a residential block on Yafa Street in the al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City, in what the Palestinian Civil Defense described as a massacre.
The Palestinian Civil Defense reported that the children killed in the Israeli strike on the Abd al-Aal family home ranged in age from two months to eight years old. The Civil Defense also noted that its crews are still carrying out search and retrieval operations for more than 15 people who remain missing under the rubble.
'Israel' targets the entire Gaza Strip
According to Al Mayadeen's correspondent, two Palestinians were martyred and several others were wounded in an airstrike targeting a group of civilians near the Bilal Mosque in the al-Zaytoun neighborhood in southern Gaza City.
Additionally, the Israeli military killed one Palestinian in central Khan Younis with live gunfire, while more than 3 were killed and 10 were wounded as they were awaiting aid near the Morag axis in the southern Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported an airstrike targeting the al-Nafaq area in northern Gaza City, in addition to an artillery shelling targeting the eastern al-Maghazi refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
Furthermore, Israeli occupation forces carried out four airstrikes targeting civilian homes in the al-Sabra neighborhood in southern Gaza City.
This comes although the Israeli political leadership ordered Israeli occupation forces to halt their ongoing ground offensive in Gaza City, according to Israeli media outlets.
The move reportedly followed pressure from US President Donald Trump to pause strikes and prioritize ending the war and freeing captives held by the Palestinian Resistance.
Nevertheless, earlier, the Gaza Ministry of Health reported that 66 Palestinians were killed and 265 were wounded in 24 hours, bringing the total death toll since October 7, 2023, as of October 4, 2025, to 67,074 martyrs and 169,430 wounded.
720 fatalities were added to the October 3 death toll after their data were completed by the committee for missing individuals.
