Biden to lose re-election if he neglects Arab suffering: Ex-US Senator
According to Richard Black, violence in Gaza has caused a rift within the Democrat Party and "Democrats cannot function without Jewish political contributions".
Former Virginia State Senator Richard Black told Sputnik that US President Joe Biden's neglect of the suffering of the Arabs and his apathy toward the genocide in Gaza may cost him his presidency.
"President Biden’s disregard for Arab suffering may cost him the presidency," Black said, stating: "The Associated Press reports that Michigan’s large Muslim community has turned against him; if Biden loses Michigan, he may lose the election."
According to Black, violence in Gaza has caused a rift within the Democrat Party and "Democrats cannot function without Jewish political contributions".
"According to the Jerusalem Post, their contributions constitute over half of all donations to the Democrat Party. Wealthy Jewish donors insist that Biden allow Israel to continue its unconstrained bombing campaign in the Gaza Strip. If he does not support the bombing, they may not contribute to his 2024 campaign."
As of now, two of the Democrats’ most crucial voting blocks are "bitterly at odds over the war."

"In 2020, Jews voted 75% Democrat, and 65% of Muslim-Americans did likewise. On October 31st, Reuters reported that Arab American support for Biden and the Democrats had plunged to 17% in recent polls," he added.
'Too much' has become a reality
The disorder in public schools regarding the matter, Black believes, is prompting a dramatic decline in student test scores.
"Biden’s failed school policies had already cost him some Muslim support, but the merciless bombing of Gaza was the final straw for many Muslims," he clarified.
"Their anger poses a major challenge for Biden in his race for reelection."
Black expressed that although most Americans feel that the attacks on Gaza were justified after October 7, after the attack by Hamas on October 7, but to what extent?
"Americans worry that the Israeli response has become excessive, even if some latitude for reprisal was initially warranted," he said, adding: "This week, a single bombing attack killed 400 Palestinians, further dampening global support for the Israeli attack. US Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin has called for an immediate cease fire."
Biden losing Arab community support
This comes after Democrats in Michigan, a state that President Joe Biden almost surely can't afford to lose in 2024, have expressed concern that the way he has handled the current war in Gaza may cost him the election.
Biden has upheld support for "Israel's" right to "self-defense", but Democrats in the state are pressuring him to defuse the situation due to fearing he will lose the support of the Arab American community.
Abraham Aiyash, the third-ranking Democrat in the state House of Representatives, expressed that the message was sent, citing calls with the White House and Democratic National Committee (DNC) officials.

Aiyash added, “We’ve been clear in saying that humanity should matter, but if that is not a calculation that you’re going to make in this moment, recognize that there will be electoral reverberations to this.”
